Official 2023 College Football Thread: Michigan Recognized as National Champions of Cheating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that higher than Hartman's peak last year?

Yeah, but that's the WOKE NFL.

I seem to recall that PepsiCo was a big donor when the Benson Center was built-- which is why Pizza Hut got a spot in there and Pepsi was pretty much the only option. I guess that has bubbled over into concessions, etc...

The following might have some relevance to Wake and Pepsi.

"Wayne Calloway (September 12, 1935 - July 8, 1998)[1] was an important North American golf course architect who designed many courses in Canada and the United States.[2] He was chairman and CEO of PepsiCo from 1986 until the mid-1990s. He was chairman of the board of Wake Forest University. They named their undergraduate school of business in his honor in 1995."

I was at Wake when Calloway's fingerprints were all over the university. I had no idea he was a golf course architect.

His New York Times obituary makes no mention of golf course designs. Wikipedia doesn’t list any specific courses. An AP profile I found when he was named CEO also makes no mention of golf course design. Any googling for a Wayne Calloway designed course just leads back to that wiki page.

So I’m skeptical it’s true.

Sounds like a rich person’s hobby. Some grunt designs your course and you put your name on it. That’s what I assume happens with all those [Famous Golfer] designed courses.

Did somebody confuse him with Callaway golf clubs and confuse a club with a country club?

My grandfather knew Wayne Calloway and never mentioned that he designed golf courses.

Pretty sure he signed my diploma.

Could well have happened. Wikipedia is sometimes not the most reliable source. I was surprised at the line as well. But the PepsiCo CEO and Wake BOT info is verifiable elsewhere.

If I bet on the Jayden Daniels QB for Kansas do I also get Jayden Daniels QB for LSU? How about Jalon Daniels?

I’d wager on Caleb Williams and then some of the value guys way down that list.

Numbers 2 through about 12 do nothing for me from a wagering perspective.
