Season long College football thread

Good grief - the OU/Ok St game is still in the 3rd qtr? This thing is going to last 6 hours.

Top 5 in the CFP rankings probably won't change this week.

Let's say Clemson and Bama win next week.
1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. OU
4. MSU/Iowa winner

CFP Semis...
Orange: Clemson-MSU/Iowa
Cotton: Bama-OU

Other New Years 6 bowls...
Rose gets Pac12 champ Stanford (assuming they win) and MSU/Iowa loser. Sugar gets an SEC team - runner-up Florida. Houston gets the Group of 5 spot and goes to the Fiesta. That leaves 4 at large spots (Peach, Peach, Sugar, and Fiesta). tOSU, ND, FSU, TCU.
Rose: Stanford-MSU/Iowa
Sugar: Florida-Ohio State
Peach: FSU-ND
Fiesta: TCU-Houston

A Clemson loss changes a lot.
tOSU is highest ranked 1-loss team now. But who have they beat? 1 good win vs. Michigan.
Clemson can argue they should still go in over tOSU with wins over ND and FSU.
But then how do you put Clemson in over UNC with UNC having just beat Clemson and winning ACCCG?
Does a 2-loss Pac12 champ Stanford jump all 3 with wins over ND, USC (twice) and UCLA?

ACC ACC ACC! Hell, GT could've pulled it out against a team who somehow had 9 wins in that crap division.

Screw Houston. My owls are taking the American next week and that fiesta/ peach bowl bid.

I hate to say it, but if UNC wins, they should be in.

I want to agree that if you're a 1-loss Power 5 conference champion who just beat #1, you should be in.

But look at their 11 wins right now (not to mention a loss to 3-9 South Carolina):

8-4 Miami
7-5 NC State
7-5 Duke
6-6 Virginia Tech
5-7 Illinois
4-8 Virginia
3-9 Wake Forest
3-9 Georgia Tech
9-2 NC A&T (FCS)
4-7 Delaware (FCS)

That A&T win is a resume builder!

Seriously though, a win against Clemson would make up for that.
