The high number of automatic qualifiers (13) -- teams that won the regular season title in their conference but were bounced in the league tourney -- likely helped NIT-eligible teams like Maryland and Wake Forest of the ACC get spurned.

Per KemPom, SMU's non-conference SOS was 303. Which is 14 places ahead of the non-conference schedule assembled by the head of the selection committee.

Wake wasn't even near the bubble. So what's your point?

That;s basically it. The Big We Can't Count Our Teams was the first time they have had their starters together in at least two months. they are the anti-AZ (only Nick Johnson has any cajones).

You are so dead ass wrong on Arizona. Teams with no "cojones" aren't 4th in the nation in rebounding margin, and 1st in defensive efficiency.
