bad communication between Udogie and Brennan Johnson opened up WAAAY too much space for Saka on that goal
Especially against a team with pacy attackers, who like to press and who get stuck in. Just asking for trouble.I don't understand the commitment to playing out of the back, at least when the opposition press is set. Why would you voluntarily play passes around your own box without much of a numerical advantage? Does the value of possession in your own 1/8th of the pitch outweigh the risk of being dispossessed? In those situations why not boot it long and press them in their half? Save playing from the back for transitional or quick starts when the oppo press isn't ready.
