Welcome DY! We were a sprained ankle away from a nightmare in the middle of the DL.

Les says that Claude is back. I would really like to see him do well at Wake.

Great news if true. Especially with Zeek coming back and a few solid transfers.
Looking forward to any news from practices, although that may be difficult with practices being closed.

OK so Deon Young definitely passes the transfer hype video test. Looks to have solid feet, can beat double teams, and gets a good amount of sacks for a DT. Obviously, competition not so strong, but looks like a solid addition.

Am curious to know how Deon Young, from California and student at Northern Arizona, got connected to WF.

Also got to factor in whether NAU had any sack threats on the outside, if they didn't then teams probably paid more attention to him. Here, he will have Ojiofor on the outside which should free up the inside rush.

Yeah, his stats are actually not so good. But the tape was pretty impressive. Chased down a couple QBs/RBs from behind, so obviously has decent speed for a big guy. Maybe he took a lot of plays off/didn't care so much at NAU, and we can coach him up.

In Flagstaff he got on I-40 east instead of west by mistake and kept driving. When he got to Winston-Salem, he noticed he had been going in the wrong direction. He stopped to eat some barbecue and ask directions. One thing led to another and next thing you know he transferred to Wake Forest. :)

Happens all the time.

It's only the first practice but sounds like Kendall looked good today.
