It is impossible for the government to cause private citizens to invest. That is their free and conscious choice (health insurance recently excepted).

It is quite possible for the government to discourage them from doing so, with irresponsible spending, consumptive indebtedness and policies which chill economic activity.

The current government has done less to discourage investment than previous governments. laughable post. the private sector has discouraged them with its recklessness, not the government

$4.0B a day over budget. Everyday. No plan to pay it back. A health care program no objective person believes we realy know the cost of, and certainly no credible, articulated plan to pay for something when you don't know it's real cost.

Yeah, sounds like a great time to take risks, invest and/or hire people who are out of work.

Have you seen Romney's planned tax cuts, increase in defense spending, and the bogus vague plan to pay for it coming from the general operating budget?

I love how you have created this vast conspiracy among business owners to not create jobs and grow their businesses. Never mind the fact most businesses are run by people who are decidedly middle class. It's like millions of people got together and decided they'd keep unemployment high just to upset you.

Krauthammer, Brooks, Will? Will is the least readable. Brooks I probably agree with more than the other two. He's less of an ideologue, I think. They're all bright and worth reading, IMO.

Unfortunately, my local rag stopped carrying Brooks.
