ACC Baseball Tournament

Not giving up yet, but way too many LOB. Loved the DP we turned last inning.

FSU - a lock to make the NCAA tourney

FSU a lock for national seed at as is Virginia. Miami may also be in with their strong finish.

N&O and any state fan can say it was the umps that lost the Pack the game but that's just excuses. 2nd and 3rd with 0 out and can't even get a ball in play til 2 outs. Shitty hitting with men on base lost the game for NCSU not an ump.

Ump missed the call. That is part of baseball. Players strike out and miss the baseball. Fielders make errors out in the field. Umpires miss a call every now and then. Looked like catcher had the plate blocked but the runner got his hand under & on the plate. Call was missed. Have to move on just like any other missed call in a game whether it is at first on a bang-bang play, steal at secong or play at the plate. All a part of the game. Didn't cost them the game. Just means they didn't tie the game at the time.

I'm calling BS. Ump only missed call because he was too busy making himself look like an ass with an exaggerated strike 3 call. When refs/umps realize the game isn't about them, and the best compliment someone can give a ref is they don't know their name, then sports will vastly improve.

State cannot bunt. Couldn't bunt last year. Need a new hitting coach.
 
MD is now 2-0 in the ACC baseball tourney with wins over UVA and FSU. If UVA beats UNC tonight, I think MD is in the finals regardless if they beat UNC tomorrow or not. MD has not won an ACC baseball title or qualified for the NCAA baseball tourney in more than 40 years.

That is correct. If UNC wins, then the winner of tomorrow's UNC-MD game advances to the finals. We're definitely a lock for our first NCAA appearance in forever. Just so nuts. Rooting for UVA is weird (they shouldn't lie down as they're still fighting for NCAA seeding), and them winning would be huge because then we could throw a weekend starter in Sunday's game as opposed to having him start tomorrow and potentially tossing together a bullpen game for the championship and getting wrecked.
 
How long now since Wake's last NCAA appearance?

What else can Walter donate?
 
I think 2007 was WF's last NCAA tourney appearance.
 
We really screwed up this year. It was a golden opportunity to make the NCAAs and we completely fell apart. Maryland isn't that good and they are easily in.
