Sinatra's 80th birthday celebration. A bunch of people got up and sang songs Sinatra made famous. Except Bob. Sinatra specifically requested "Restless Farewell." Happy Birthday, Mr. Frank.

Looking forward to checking this record out more. And his Dave Matthews Lilywhite Sessions cover record, as well.

Hopkins is fantastic. If you like, check out: Floating Points, and Chuck Johnson!

Ooh, this Skiffle Players sounds even better. And Cass McCombs isn't wearing a suit with sandles.

If you want some dank, heady jamz to jam up your jammy jam, here are four sets. Phil & Terrapin Family, Cosmic Twang, Cass McCombs, a bunch of others who probably jam.

Susana Baca playing at Duke in February. Thinking about it.

You may know this cut from the same comp. Wes Anderson did.

Does anyone know anything about this artist? I picked up this record the other day and its great.

Missed this album when it came out, but I've been putting in some time with Javier Santiago's debut album, "Phoenix" lately. Really tight, mature sound for a debut album; I'm guessing this guy will make some waves. Here's the title track from the album; both chill and dynamic at the same time.
