2017 College Football Coaching Carousel

Pete Lembo left Maryland for Rice. He gets his Special Teams coordinator and Associate Head Coach jobs at Rice.
 
So we finally get Clawson vs. Lembo this season.
 
Seems like a backwards move. Was he on the way out already in Maryland?

Think so. Lembo had been the special teams coordinator, but he was moved to TEs coach. MD announced Lembo's replacement today; so, it appears that this has been in the works for awhile.

Some here like Lembo over Clawson (and there were reasonable arguments on each side); goes to show that hiring a head coach (or any coach) is not as easy as many assume.
 
Brad White was hired by Kentucky to be linebackers coach. Dean Hood has been on the staff for a year as well.
 
Great news. Good guy. Very happy for him and his family. He's got a nice career going.

At Maryland Lembo had been relieved of his job as Special Teams Coordinator and was just assistant coach tight ends.

He gets the coordinator job at Rice and is also Associate Head Coach. Better titles at a lower level school. Seems like a guy on his way down. Wake dodged a bullet.
 
Good gig for Dean too. Very underrated DC for us, he made us a turnover-forcing machine
