Compared to what? Building nuclear plants is far more expensive than say, wind. And using radioactive material always presents an inherent risk even if the threat of a Three Mile Island incident isn't great.

No he isn't. He's on the record as saying that he views it more than just about climate change and as a "how do you change the entire economy" that is focused on net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, job creation, massive infrastructure investment, a guarantee of clean water and food and economic stability. McConnell called the plan a socialist makeover.

Further, Bernie isn't just adopting the Green New Deal but actually goes beyond it as far on a financial allocation and policy front. So to ascribe Bernie's take on climate change to that of AOC's advisor doesn't seem particularly apt.

I mean regardless of what he says any plan that includes a mass quantity of climate change addressing policies and is called the "Green New Deal" targets climate change. Also "change the entire economy" doesn't mean "change to socialism" you just buy the Fox News/Mitch McConnell boogeyman description.
