NazT Deac, DeacMan, and iLoveTaron no longer DS mods

Yeah, probably teh only time I don't really like the whole neg-repping system. Lettuce discuss our disagreements in teh open.

I'm cool with people getting negrep for being abrasive or antagonistic/trolling though..

I'd rather see the petty personal passive aggressive stuff restricted to the reps or tags. Putting that stuff in the open is how good threads get turned into pissing matches.

LK, you know I love NazT, too. We go back a long time. But it was a conflict of interest for him to work for the Deacon Club and control content on a message board that was supposed to be separate from the university and any part of the athletic department. It's nothing personal about Naz at all. It's just not a good look for an independent message board. I would say the same about any of the mods here if they took a job at Wake.

I don't have a problem with Naz or any of the other mods on a personal level. I did not like the way supposed "supporters" of team had free reign to talk shit about those who thought Coach [Redacted] was not the right hire for Wake. But I don't doubt all of them want nothing but the best for Wake.

Their tacit approval of the most obnoxious "I'm a better fan" types on the other board is what really drove me over here. And given the majority of those folks have stayed over there, it seems to have worked out fine for everyone.

Maybe it's just me, but the Naz weight jokes over here are getting old and are pretty tasteless self-esteem boosters. From everything I've seen he's a great guy so it just seems like grasping for straws if that's how you're going to criticize him. (Not singling you out DinDC, a few other posters do this too.) :noidea:

Good to see some changes over at DS but it seems a little too late. Interesting that Deman is staying on as a mod given the issues recently... also interesting that they specifically mentioned actively moderating. Guess they did listen to some poster criticism.

I was wrong. I should have said he's taking a job at Arthur Murray.

100% agree.

Agreed.

acted like whiny little cunt rags

Now go fuck yourselves and wish that you were even one tenth as useful

If you post stuff like this you will be neg rep, if you said well all of you that want nazt gone got your wish, especially for a man that is so useful to the university then you dont get neg rep, pretty clear to me.

Those of you who acted like whiny little cunt rags about NazT being a mod and also being employed by the university got your wish.

Now go fuck yourselves and wish that you were even one tenth as useful to the Wake Forest community as NazT has and will be going forward.

I'd say that LK's post is certainly abrasive and antagonistic. I'll admit to giving him some neg rep.

NazT seems like a good dude and an excellent representative for WFU. I'm pleased that people of his character work in the Athletic Department. That being said, I think people are entitled to the opinion that having an Athletic Dept employee serve as a mod is not a good idea. I don't think people with that opinion should be labeled as "whiny cunt rags." That is why I gave LK neg rep.

Well said. I'm happy for NazT and moreso for the Deacon Club that they hire Naz. It's a perfect job for him. But it should have come with stepping down as a mod.

Thanks for the push to 3 bars, moon.

Interesting move. probably should have been done earlier. All the best to matt and chrispy. I have always thought Crispy was one of the smartest dudes on the boards

I don't think that it is necessarily incompatible for Naz to be a moderator and to work for the AD...so long as that is communicated clearly to board members. Perhaps it is unwise, I am not sure about that. But it might be helpful for everyone to understand that a particular moderator does to some extent represent the interests of the athletic department.

It's not a matter of representing interest, it's that a moderator can alter or delete board content at will.

it's called a conflict of interest, whether or not actual, because there is a potential.
