Wait, so RJ makes a thread saying we'd beat UVA if we had talent, but he's shying away from making a bet here? #RJlogic

Their schedule is so weak they could get 10 wins and still not be close to being a Top 60 team.

That chart just shows us that we're always going to be ranked about between 160-180 after non-conference play. Who doesn't believe that we're going to finish the season in the [Redacted] zone? It's been the same the last 2 years, "the acc sucks, we're bound to pick up a couple of wins". Nope. Maybe things change this season, but does anybody really care whether we win 13 or 14 vs just 10 games?

Yep. The big dip will start in a few games.

I think I have a $20 bet with somebody here about our final Kenpom rating. I've got to find that.

it'll be interesting to see how much of our dip in past years was KP getting rid of historical data versus bzzzz choking the life out of the team. this year we started much worse because we'd been much worse but are actually improving.

No, but the most sickening thing about this entire situation is that Ron has made it crystal clear that his opinion is the only one that really matters. And in his messed up little world, he actually thinks that winning 13 or 14 games is some sort of accomplishment. Makes me want to puke just thinking about how LOWF that is...
 
i'm thinking of writing a children's book. Little Ronnie Wellman and the moving bullseye it's about a young child that can never admit he is wrong despite making one bad decision after another. eventually no one (not even his sweet and lovable but very gullible mother) believes his lies any longer and he is forced to grow up fast. not exactly sure where the ending goes since a little kid (little jerk that he is) getting run out of town by a mob with pitchforks is pretty dark and my target audience is kids after all.

I think we will finish better than 200. I actually don't think it will be very close either.

We are quite obviously improving this year and have played much better basketball as of late (even though the schedule was a bit easier).

I think we will finish somewhere around where we are now, maybe even a little better.

I base this off of what I've seen the past 4-5 games and also my everlasting blind optimism.
