That bleacher report article should be filed under in "Things That Every Team Needs to Do to Improve" folder. Not particularly insightful (at least for fans of the team).

I will always try to temper my expectations, because we've been burned so many times. This year is going to be tough because we have the #1 most difficult schedule coming into the year based on 2012 results (function of our division, getting the NFC West and AFC East and sliding into second place with our win streak at the end of the year). We have the best division in the NFL top to bottom, so we never get any easy games like so many other playoff staples have gotten (usually in the AFC) in the last few years.

Also, I have heard that Charlotte has a thriving gay community... you think we should go after Manti Te'o? Might be great for the city and fans.

Wide open at 14... could go DT, S, OLine, CB, WR. There will probably be a very good one of all of those available as well.

I feel confident that we'll get a really good player with our pick - although with questions about Star Lotulelei and Jarvis Jones' health, and KC now definitely not going for a QB some of the people that might have been available at our spot now may not be.

Lots of potential DTs: Star (bc of heart issue), Sharif Floyd (probably gone), Sheldon Richardson, Jesse Wiliams.

S: Kenny Vaccaro will probably be there. Matt Elam out of Florida

CB: Dee Milliner (will probably be gone), Desmond Trufant, Xavier Rhodes

WR: Cordarelle Patterson, Keenan Allen, Tavon Austin, Justin Hunter

OT/OG: Lane Johnson, Chance Warmack, Jonathan Cooper

Most of those guys have been in the mix around 14 somewhere or other.

Don't forget Hankins from OSU.

Elam is a rocket propelled goblin (stolen from @EDSBS)

Im sure this has been discussed a ton, but what is the deal with Deangelo and Stewart? IMO we only need one of them and a solid backup (Tolbert?). Having a more balanced (and deep) OL, DL and secondary is what it takes to win versus a team of expensive running backs. Would it help cap room to trade Deangelo for something? Am I missing something? How is our cap room always an issue? It seems to me that we never make major moves in the free agency market and rely soley on the draft, which is a major gamble with little short term benefits.

Apparently, there is some sort of mega cap hit if we were to trade Deangelo or Beason

Question: all these other teams are having their players restructure, (big Ben, witten,Brady) why can't we do that with Williams and Beason?

a lot of mocks have a falling STAR to the panthers now

Yeah, I've seen a lot of mocks with Star falling to the Panthers. Kenny Vaccaro also in the conversation to replace potential All-Pro Haruki Nakamura.

Would definitely love to see Mike complimenting Steve. Wouldn't like Dwayne. Cut a few more guys & I think we'll have the money. Definitely need to trade a RB. Preferably DeAngelo.
