This feels good because of 2006 for me. Lebron knew he has no heart and sought to address the problem by transplanting himself. I appreciate people who know their weaknesses.
Where is Jaybone?
Crying in his wine cooler with deac83.

I was rooting for the Mavs, but I hate that I'm on the same side as these haters. Much like the Heat, the Mavs made wholesale changes to the franchise in order to surround their star player with the best talent to win. The Heat won 58 games and played in the Finals. Seems like their strategy paid off pretty well.
You'd think people had never seen free agency before. The Lebron hate continues to be ridiculous.
they had seen free agency before. it had been a while since they had seen anyone be such a dick about it.
The Decision is probably the #1 most overrated event in recent sports memory. It was simply a primetime press conference that ESPN and Lebron used to make money. They had something precious and sold it.
I feel like I could just repeat the post I made on the Politics board about Palin hype. It's capitalism. People wanted to know where Lebron was going. Suckers watched The Decision even though it was already reported earlier that day he was going to Miami.
There's no help for anybody that gets so up at arms about ESPN trying to make money off access to information. That's their job.
If you ask somebody "Would it have been better if Lebron just called a press conference and gave an interview afterwards?" and they say "Yes" it says more about them than Lebron.

Awesome.
But the reason a prime time press conference made money is the people who are mad at Lebron and ESPN. It really shouldn't have been as big of a deal as it was, but sports fans hyped it up.
Lol at the Heat playing hot potato until Chalmers has to drive and give it away.
Wade either takes over or this is over.
Ph with a surprisingly poor take on the impact/importance of avoidable bad PR. The Decision was a terrible idea because it ruined a formerly positive image, creating a new public image that was the opposite of the one desired. It was the most comprehensive, unnecessary PR backfire I've ever seen. It turned the casual fan and non-fan against Lebron. It was an unmitigated disaster.

Yeah but it was the definition of douchey. Come on you have to realize this.
It was a pretentious money grab, and everybody saw it for what it was. I could care less that Lebron left Cleveland, but The Decision and the lame ass preseason high school pep rally turned me into a hater.
Plus Dirk is just a class act and Wade is such a drama queen. It made this series Good vs. Evil.
Where are you pulling this stuff from?
