Lectro was RIGHT--post1626--(climate related)

You'd rather just believe the lies in that article?

I can take each and every one of those supposed..rebuttals...down completely. I'll start with the first 2.

1. First off like almost every one of these "rebuttals", they frame the criticism incorrectly so it's all a canard from the start, but here goes. Water vapor is absolutely without a doubt undeniably the most potent and BY FAR more prevalent greenhouse gas...and by far THe driver the assumed change in temperature from atmospheric gases. The high priests of CO2 claim increases in CO2 increase water vapor and that is causing the increase in temperatures. Water vapor was...IMO fraudulently...hidden in the early IPCC reports as a greenhouse gas in their climate models. Go look for yourself. The entire contribution for water vapor was just placed under the effects of CO2 as a footnote....with NO proof of a connection let alone altered completely.

But the zealots have had to backtrack, and backtrack massively. When the sun cooled, so did the earth..instantaneously. That does not fit the theory. So they backtracked to saying SOME of the water vapor increases are due to CO2, the rest due to the sun. They in fact have now claimed that changes up to 1950 are solar but since it's all CO2 (which goes against the hockey stick beliefs BTW). With earth temps almost mirroring changes in solar output, they've since had to backtrack again. Early this year they actually said it was hard to determine the effects of ocean temps on water vapor changes. The cooling they claimed was partly due to cooler ocean temps and they actually don't understand how that works. They don't have a f'ing clue.

The irrefutable facts are..... We don't understand how water vapor is regulated WITHOUT changes in CO2. We don't understand the contributions from ocean temps, cloud formation, solar output, etc. We don't know at all if there is a link between changes in CO2 and water vapor. Not a shred of evidence. We know one thing...higher solar output increases water vapor. But somehow waving magic fairy dust they "knew" without a doubt "scientifically" that changes in water vapor was all from CO2? That's like believing in the flying spaghetti monster.

2. The authors are in fact lying about the connection between the hockey stick data and other temperature data. The hockey stick data was complete and utter fraud. The scientists made it up by cherry picking. It was actually done twice by two different groups using the same "methodology". It supposedly showed no change in temperature until man showed up burning stuff in the 1800s and then straight up it went like a hockey stick. Sure the actual data shows a current rise in temperature...like the hockey stick. But the rise in temperature started WAY before we started burning lots of stuff. The earth's temp changed quite a bit..contrary to the hockey stick. The earth was warmer during the "medieval warm period". The hockey stick BS was intended to wipe that out because the medieval warm period PROVES warming without CO2 changes. It was fraud. It does NOT correlate with any other measurement of earth temperature. If you believe it does, you believe in the flying spaghetti monster. And it's unbelievable that ANYONE can still back a group of people that are excusing out right fraud.

This entire CO2 theory is being gutted step by step. EVERY piece of physical evidence refutes the theory. EVERY one. It all backs changes in solar activity. Yet...you guys all believe the theory. It's amazing. Most scientists just assumed climate scientists were doing good science and went along with it, but eyes are being opened.

u ever seen the black clouds that float over china? not grey rain clouds....pitch black clouds? ever woken up in china with a sore throat? Q # 3.. did you know for earths 4.5B year history only since 11,000 years ago has our climate looked like this? did you know those three things?

You are so full of crap that it is hard to know where to begin.

The IPCC's computer modeling has failed. If it were to be placed within a literary trope you'd simply say "they have thrown the theory to the bottom of the sea". The IPCC is absolutely full of shit and it is absolutely a case where politics has trumped scientific method.

how am i full of crap? i was speaking from experience. as a layman, my own senses when i woke up in the morning told me something was wrong by the soreness of my throat. every time i've flown from N china to HK we've been flying above a pure sheet of black clouds...i'm not kidding, and it isn't a secret. the first time, i actually took a pic cuz i'd never seen anything like that in my life.

Post it. I hadn't heard of this phenomenon.

i would oblige but i don't have it anymore. it wasn't exactly a good or interesting pic and i erased it to make room for some HK pics...

in all truth my memory may be exaggerating it, but it certainly was foreign to anything i'd ever seen before.

You can just say you had to make room for pron dude...we're all in the trust tree here.

Climate scientists trapped in Antarctic ice

They went in search evidence of the world’s melting ice caps, but instead a team of climate scientists have been forced to abandon their mission … because the Antarctic ice is thicker than usual at this time of year.

The scientists have been stuck aboard the stricken MV Akademik Schokalskiy since Christmas Day, with repeated sea rescue attempts being abandoned as icebreaking ships failed to reach them.

Now that effort has been ditched, with experts admitting the ice is just too thick. Instead the crew have built an icy helipad, with plans afoot to rescue the 74-strong team by helicopter.

^^ continuing on that story... the people are apparently ok and heavily stocked.

Presently a blizzard is halting an effort to makeshift a helipad and get a chopper in there.

It is also pretty amazing to see the Chinese top of the range ice breaker "Snow Dragon" itself becoming stuck and needing to turn back some 7 miles short of the stranded ship.

nice call out, eh

A ship, "defeated" by ice, in Antarctica...

Point proven. We don't affect our climate.

Checkmate, logic, reason, and science.

Youtube? You are using youtube as a reference. Are you fucking kidding me?

And you are totally misqualify Pauling's contribution to science btw. He was a fantastic scientist.

It is a clip from an academic doc. It is on youtube -- it was the only way I could access the piece without having to sign up for something. Simple as that. Serious scientists and excellent cinematography in that piece. ;)

Have no fear, though...they are sending Yukon Cornelius in to rescue the erstwhile "carbonated greens".

Cornelius was concerned at first but was heard to shout "heck fire, that ice is so thick even a Bumble wouldn't sink!"

So, our dear friend Yukon is headed out to rescue these misfits with the help of a few recently re-united polar bears mushing out ahead...

Asked how he got the bears to help out, Cornelius exclaimed "I promised 'em each 1 steak and no more!"

These scientists went looking for less ice. Had they found it, it would be used to further the argument of anthropogenic climate change. Since they did not, and found quite ironically the opposite, it is to be dismissed. This is why skeptics see this as a religion - it can't be disproven.

I'm in agreement. This ship is proof positive that water doesn't melt and refreeze occasionally, and represents a large enough sample size to do away with the religion.

This ranks up there with. "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit."

Who knew if you put wet leather gloves on a heater they would shrink...well other than anyone who every lived where it snowed regularly.

Funny. I was listening to NPR today and a story came on about an archaeologist in Northern Canada/Alaska. Her work is being effected because the sea ice is breaking up earlier and earlier every year, exposing shorelines to large waves and storm surges which washes away the bones/pottery/etc.. from the campsites she excavates. Other sites in the region are also being effected because the permafrost is starting to melt. Where sites could be preserved in the permafrost for many thousands of years, once the frost melts, items begin to decompose.

Clitantic scientists trapped in Antarctic ice claim expanding sea ice caused by ‘global warming’ — But data and studies refute claims

Less ice, more ice, whatever. It’s global warming! — Flashback 2007: Global warming means LESS ice around Antarctica — 2013: global warming means more ice around Antarctica

The leader of the Antarctic global warming expedition that has been mired in thick Antarctic ice for more than a week and is finally facing a helicopter rescue attempt, is claiming that expanding sea ice is consistent with man-made global warming theory.
Chris Turney, a professor of climate change at Australia’s University of New South Wales (c.turney@unsw.edu.au) “remained adamant that sea ice is melting, even as the boat remained trapped in frozen seas,” according to a Fox News interview.
“Sea ice is disappearing due to climate change, but here ice is building up,” the Australasian Antarctic Expedition said in a statement. Turney explained that “climate change may have prompted the iceberg to shatter and float into the previously open sea where the mostly Australian team finds itself stranded.” “The ice was swept across to this area by the South-East wind, its pieces creating a knock-on domino effect,” Turney said. “We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Turney expected to see melting ice. See: ClitanicDisaster: ‘Global warming scientists forced to admit defeat…because of too much ice’ in Antarctica – Will be rescued by helicopter – Chris Turney, a climate scientist and leader of the expedition, was going to document ‘environmental changes’ at the pole - In an interview he said he expected melting ice to play a part in expedition
Even the media resorted to blaming expanding ice on “global warming.” See: The Economist mag: Maybe global warming caused Antarctic sea ice to grow to a record extent two years in a row – Economist Says Antarctic Ice Is Being Compressed, Causing It To Expand (via website Real Science): ‘In 2007 winds compressed Arctic ice into a thick mass with record low extent, not record high extent. How stupid are these people?’
So we are to believe, as Real Science quipped: ‘Scientists Trapped In Record Antarctic Sea Ice Announce That It Is Disappearing‘
Anyone familiar with Antarctic sea ice would knows that it has been at or near record expansion the past several years and global warming models have mostly predicted reduced Antarctic sea ice allegedly due to global warming.

Global Sea Ice Area Expands to Second Highest On Record, And Highest In 25 Years – Closing in on an all-time record
No Antarctic Warming Since 1979 - According to Chris Turney, leader of the expedition trapped in the ice off the coast of Antarctica, the expanding sea ice has been caused by global warming. He obviously has not bothered checking the facts. First, a look at UAH satellite temperature anomalies for the region. The purple line is the trend, not the mean, but as can be seen is, to all intents and purposes flat. Any trend is actually negative. – And Southern Ocean Sea Temperatures from Bob Tisdale.

Milankovitch cycles...alternating periods of cold Arctic -mild Antarctic / mild arctic and cold Antarctic periods are common in the climate histories of both regions.
