Wake - Clemson Game Thread

mcKie has helped us more at the 4 in the past but that is a mid major quality setup. He is not capable in the low post against competition. That is when it shows.

Now for him he should be thrilled that he has gotten pushed to the three. If he were playing well he might be getting some nba attention. We are allowing him to shoot the 3 and drive the ball. He is playing like shit. Absolute shit.

If he would get it going this team might be good. We got absolutely plunked at Clemson last year. Cavanaugh got abused. Today he played well. That is development. This team is decent but the ball is dying at the 3 spot with Travis and rountree and Mickie is not doing anything else with intensity.

Les Robinson was likely better. Those State teams always seemed to be within reach of winning, but just never seemed to pull it out. Wade was dealt a tough situation so it is hard to say on him. It could easily be argued that Wake owns the bottom 2 spots with Staak and Bzzz.
 
Bz = 5 consecutive losses to Clemson. Fucking CLEMSON!

Becuase the players he recruited led us BACK to #1 in the country.

The only two times in Wake history that we were ranked #1 in the nation were due to Skip Prosser. Like it or not that's truth.

Yes he had two bad season, but they were bracketed by great success.

Using your logic, Bob Knight sucked as Skip made as many Sweet 16s at Wake as Bob Knight did in his last dozen seasons as a coach.

Our brilliant coach will probably say it was for defense. Nevertheless, the reality is Clemson won this game because they played defense during the last 10 minutes and we didn't.

Clemson is seriously offensively challenged. But as I was watching a tie game midway through the 2nd half, I thought we'll hang in and then blow the last 5:00. Exactly what happened. You need a stop in the last few minutes and give up a wide open dunk and lay-up. You don't win on the road if you're a lousy defensive team. And Buzzdick continues to show he has no idea how to coach defense. I guess our next game at VT is this year's Super Bowl.
