It's so refreshing to hear a coach talk about the importance of recruiting in achieving success. All we heard before was that top recruits weren't important and were hard to coach anyway. ClawsIN
 
Ha. That's probably the best thing I've heard from anything related to our Ath Dept in years. There's no guarantee he is going to perform well, but I'd have a very hard time betting against it.
 
Agreed, Tin Cup. Great press conference. He nailed so many questions. Just the level of professionalism and respect that he shows for his players, the university, even Bowling Green, is just great to hear. I love how he manages to clearly dismiss dumb questions, but in the nicest way.

I don't feel like he's blowing smoke when he talks about gains in the weight room and their training regiment. I believe our players will be much more prepared physically and mentally than they've been in a long time.
 
Honestly, after listening to that press conference, if Clawson isn't successful at Wake, I really think the problem is more with the limitations of Wake. This guy is amazing.
 
Very refreshing to have a head coach who knows what in the hell he's doing and actually has a plan.
 
I loved Grobe. . .but man this guy is something else. Agree with the first tag. . .

Can someone explain this comment to me:

W Donn Clark I think Coach Clawson is a very good hire. At least he will start with something not the thugs Dino had that Buzz inherited. I am so tired of loosing. After 30 yrs in the Deacon Club this outcry to fire Buzz just got to me. I thought we were a family. Also loosing the last 4/5 games in football the last few years was awful also. I think Coach Grobe recognized that and made the right decision for the good of the school. I will always be a Deacon!

^^One of my biggest pet peeves is people who do not know how to properly use "lose/losing" and "loose/loosing".

Just be patient. Our cupboard is bare. We have 0 ACC QBs currently on the roster. It'll be year three before things start looking up.

Yeah, same here. And maybe once can be chocked up as a typo. Multiple times and it proves that you are just dumb.

Same here. (or is it "hear"?) Also with those who don't know the difference between "dominate" and "dominant"
 
I LOLed so hard at the LOWF fans who said "we will never find as good of a coach as Grobe!"

Wait to see what someone with passion, no excuses, and belief in this program can do.

He's going to be beloved by the new AD (please please please...)
