Official WFU-ND Game Thread

Neither do any of you.

If Wellman brings [Redacted] back because we beat Notre Dame in the ACCT then nobody will go to games next year and then [Redacted] leaves. Meanwhile Wellman looks even more like a clown.

Great game by Devin and Coron. At least those 2 guys aren't ready for their season to be over yet. This game wasn't a litmus test for anything [Redacted] related.

We finally won an ACCT game. I was OK with a loss so the whole Bzaster would be over, but it's still a win. Maybe a potential coach will even say, "Wow, Thomas is only a sophomore; that's not a terrible situation to walk into."

Either way, we're most likely going to lose tomorrow (even if Pitt has looked terrible recently) and nothing will be different other than the non-entry into some record book that would have shown us losing seven straight 1st round conference tournament games.

in Wellmans mind we just had a #culturechange we are #backtowinningways I just want to #myheadintomydesk

Well I'm feeling great. The Greensboro coliseum was rocking and the DEACS won a game that may or may not qualify as part of the ACC Tournament, against a team that may or may not be part of the ACC. Life is good. War [Redacted]!

Gene Wojo essentially eulogized Dean Smith on ESPN2. Nice piece but very sobering.

All the crap Bilas and McDonough were spewing have completely taken away the joy of finally winning an ACC game after 7 years.

Bilas is a certified moron...this should tell you everything you need to know:

"Jeff [Redacted] is one of the top coaches in the country, and one of the most prepared and experienced. Jeff may be quiet and soft spoken in demeanor, but he is also an intense competitor that understands the pursuit of excellence on and off the court. Jeff has always stressed trust, hard work and togetherness, and he has always been about the players first. From the NBA to college, Jeff has seen it all in this game, has handled everything with class, and has been successful at every stop. Wake Forest got a good one in Jeff [Redacted]."

check out post 89 on the scout thread. horrifying

Well at least Coron has a lasting memory he will cherish now that his CBB playing career is almost over. From Radford to dropping 25 points in an ACCT game, even if it is rendered inconsequential tomorrow, is a nice thing to tell your grand kids about.

If that happens, was winning the 12/13 game on Wednesday of the ACC tourney worth it to you?

I can see the press conference now.

*[Redacted] gets an extension*

Ron Wellman: "You know what, we were all set to fire him but then he showed passion and as all great coaches do, rose above to defeat the mighty Irish in the 12 v. 13 game on Wednesday in convincing fashion."

Yep, if we hear that then I'll be like damn we should have lost that one.

I doubt that happens.

Pitt is a bad matchup for Wake. Wake isn't going to fare well with physical teams and Pitt is one of the most physical teams in the country.

I think we hang tough for a half and lose by 8-12 depending on free throws.

STFU with all the "Devin is douche" talk. Kid balled out today. I wish everyone on our team played with the same passion.

By the same dumb logic, Childress, CP3, and others would be "douches" for not being vanilla.

Not to mention, Devin is one of the most humble, down-to-earth athletes at Wake off the court.
