Ha ha. You hear the same argument every year because VCU is a fucking mid-major. If Shaka stays it would be a great waste of a talented coach but he will leave. The chance of getting him at Wake was always slim, but you are more delusional than we are if you think Shaka Smart is going to retire from VCU. just enjoy the ride and trolling other college message boards while it lasts. Once Shaka turns us down we will go back to not paying attention to you and so will pretty much everyone else. The only time VCU bball has been a story in four years is when better schools are trying to poach your coach.
 
BTW, US News & World Report says that 78% of VCU students live off campus, so it's clearly more of a commuter school than UNC and probably NC State as the apartments near both of those schools are in close suburban areas on the edge of campus.

Old enough to realize that VCU is peers with Idaho and the Florida Institute of Technology. It's fine to like your school, but to come around our board arguing that VCU is or could be at the same level as the institutions that are trying to poach away your coach is fucking laughable. Just be real about it. You guys have a hell of a basketball program, you're lucky to have Shaka, you're going to try like hell to keep him happy and build something great at VCU while it lasts. That's all you have to say.

GTFO with this "let's see where things stand in 40 years" bullshit.

No dude, you don't get it. You're crappy because 2/3 of the kids who apply to your school are accepted. The average SAT score is 1088. That sucks. Your school is shitty.

That's not a bad thing. The world needs shitty colleges. Not everyone is smart enough to get into colleges that aren't shitty.

Idaho and FIT are not our peer institutions. You can find out our peers here - vcu.edu. The fall off the high horse of yours is going to hurt one day.

You know about 30 years ago Louisville and VCU were in the same conference. Where is Louisville now? Anything is possible.
