Official Hoops Coaching Search Thread - Welcome Danny Manning!!!

I still just can't believe how this search is being conducted. It's like Wellman and Hatch gave Manning and family a free trip to W-S to try to sell them a fucking timeshare.

A top 40 job (with a competent Ath Dir) should get at least one coach from the following schools to say yes:

Dayton
Virginia Commonwealth
Louisiana Tech
Harvard
Wichita State

Without a question. AD, Hatch, BOT, Boosters, LOWF enablers need to do some serious soul-searching at this point.

I'll concur with Justice Slim. LOWF in the billboard context would mean "We shouldn't put up billboards advocating the firing of our coach because no coach could win here, so what's the point of complaining about it." Here, it sounds like the other board is saying "Whether [Redacted] should have been fired or not, the billboards made our job less attractive." I may disagree with that statement but it's not LOWF under the foregoing analysis.
 
Hard for me to think that it's a Top 40 job in the eyes of anyone not associated with the University. Otherwise, we would have snagged a top choice coach.

Have there been any sightings on DM on campus?
 
If we hired archie miller last year a lot of people on this board would have gone bananas. If we kept bzd one more year and then next year manning went 24-10 and went to the round of 32 we likely would lose getting him to whatever sec or big ten school went after him.


He isn't perfect but this is probably our best chance to buy low given apparently no one else wants to work at wake

We aren't...all of the leaks have come from his camp as best as I can tell. He used the press against us.

If the job is toxic it's because of the thorough destruction the AD has systematically caused to it over the last 4 years. Cuonzo was being run out of Tennessee. Any program that has any serious aspirations must demand accountability not cry and complain that it's fanbase doesn't smile and nod while you force feed it crap.

That's not to say I won't support Manning. I will hope for the best with him despite preferring a few others. But GTFO with the fans causing this to be toxic shit.

That Mike White was ahead of Manning and turned us down assumption is fucking stupid and wrong. Just another thing made up by the KP dorks to make it seem like their #analysis is even remotely relevant.

That there will be a new AD in a few years with no loyalty to the previous AD's coaches. Another reason why Wellman should be gone

Remember that one of Wellman's first major changes was letting one of the ACC's best coaches go in George Greer. It's pretty much gone downhill from there.
