Online Virtual Coach Simulation

There's a discussion on the SimSports board that clarified local preferences, by the way. Looks like the game considers F+ and higher as local leans, F as a free-for-all, and F- and lower as wanting out of the region. I don't think I ever realized that local prefs were broken up that cleanly.

Yea that was something that's been known for a while. Thought we posted that when you and a few others came on board.

I started around the same time and understood it to be the way that Kmoney just verified. Maybe I got it from the DTL board?

I understood that it scaled, just didn't know there were specific concrete cutoffs.

Horrible night for the Storm

Athens 96
Boca Raton 76

The thunder only had 6 turnovers but forced boca into 16 and had 7 blocks on way to holding Boca to 29/76 shooting. Coach Stormfury knew this season was going to be trying but he didn't expect to be 3-3 heading into Monday's matchup with Pittsburgh.

On Recruiting:
Stanley Morris NR
Kirby Hopper (18) Prev 12
Rob Brooks (59) Prev NR

Hard to tell on Brooks but hopefully a bunch of people tossed him in their nets. :/

I cast a pretty wide net and only 2 of them made it into the top 75 this week. Hopefully something pans out with the reveal.

Can somebody post some older Top 75 lists? I dropped a max and my net is shredded.

Fargo is in to the midseason doldrums - we won't have a meaningful game for almost two weeks. Still not sure where this team is at. We have an exhibition loss to 3-3 Stillwater and a blowout scrimmage loss to Memphis, but we're 6-0 and pr #1 i w/ 3 double digit wins over likely NTT teams.

Not sure what to do with recruiting, either. Arndt finally popped this morning, all the way up at #50, so all 4 of our maxes are in the top 50. Haven't lost any netters since the initial list but I expect most of the guys to be maxed. If I drop a max, Frick is by far my least favorite but he also looks the most signable at this point.

For those in need of previous Top 75's, I forgot to save the first ones myself and only have 4/9 - the Wed before reveal. I haven't posted it yet, bc it's probably not that helpful; but if you want it, I'll post it.

That works. Just need it for my net.

Boca Raton 82
Pittsburgh 61

Boca stole the show with a defensive clinic. 10 blocks, 7 steals and forcing 14 turnovers.

Eager for my first reveal in several seasons as the net continues to look promising.

Boca Raton 97
Shreveport 84

The storm survived despite 23 turnovers. The edge may have come on the boards as Boca pulled down 45 to 25 advantage in rebounding. Six of the storm scored in double figures and all but 1 starter and 2 subs had blocked shots. Every member of Boca's team had at least a board in the victory.

Next up a big test in Gulf Shores, Boca's long time rival on reveal day.

Speaking of the reveal, I'm excited as only 6 of my 35 most recruited players are in the top 75. Hopefully we'll be able to re-build the roster.

AWESOME reveal.

I'd like to welcome the two newest Evansville Rachelwoods: SG/SF Dan Mulligan and PG Donovan Calabrese.

Mulligan is an all-around stud. I'm hoping he comes in GGGEGE, but I think GFGEFE is more likely. Either way, he'll be a #2 option on offense from the moment he steps on campus.

Calabrese is a traditional pass-first PG, and fills a HUGE need, as we've been a team without a floor general the past couple of years. I think he comes in FGEPGE.

Together, they're a likely +12/-1 and a pretty damn good foundation for any class. The third recruit is still unknown right now. I have a few options, and really I'd like a true big man, but we'll see what happens.

Boca Raton 92
Gulf Shores 57

The storm took it to their old rivals with a 45-23 rebounding margin and 19 assists. Boca also shot over 50% from the field and went 5/11 from the 3 pt line.

The win moves Boca to 6-3 and PR 84.

In recruiting:
Stanley Morris 1/1 (El Paso)
Kirby Hopper (30) 1/1 (Augusta)
Rob Brooks (47) 1/1 (Sioux Falls)

Lots of Evansville in my net :/

Nice. I dropped Sean Gresham early so I was glad he came out at 9/9. My maxes are 1/1, 3/3, and 5/5. Picked up a nice 0/2 bPG with an amazing ast/to ratio. Added a net big man today who I can't believe slipped through the radar. I have 5 good players to max which is all you can ask for nowadays.

Ok reveal for Fargo. Gresham 7/7, Frick + Medina 3/3, Arndt 2/2. 0/X on r23 Zachary McCary, a 6'10 e scouted eFGf(F)F, plus a net 0/0 on a likely fgfggf forward. Been going back and forth on dropping a max but given a lack of meaningful places to put points, I'll probably be seeing all four to the end.

Looking a bit deeper into my targets, does anyone else have any recruits that Augusta Sting (ID 92) are on?

They are currently on:
Kirby Hopper (30) 1/1 with Boca - MAX for both.
Corbin Murray 2/2 with Boca, Evansville

Curious to figure out their maxes and what's happening with them.

Flagstaffs maxes come in 3/3, 4/4, 5/5 and a 1/1 on stud R1 Tim Morgan. Could have been a lot worse. Some really strange computer recruiting on my maxes. I'll share later and see what you guys think about it.
