F is for Fascism (Ferguson MO)

Pretty sure no one has confirmed (or denied) Johnson's story, right? No one knows if that's even close to what went down. Didn't Johnson also report he shot Brown in the back? Which we know is not true.

That's what Chris was using as his evidence. There are other eyewitnesses that have said the same thing.

"The officer drove away but stopped and backed up, almost hitting the pair, Johnson said. He said he wasn't sure what prompted the officer to return. Johnson told MSNBC the officer said something to the effect of "What'd you say?"

What part of the enlarged area does say the officer started to drive away?

Is says THE OFFICER DROVE AWAY BUT STOPPED AND BACKED UP

That says there were four separate events:

Event 1-The jaywalking stop.
Event 2 - The officer starts driving away
Event 3- The officer stops and back up
Event 4 - The officer gets out of the car and shoots Brown.

As I've said many times, had the officer shot Brown during Event 1, it was all on Brown.

However, even your quote says that Event ended and others started. Once that first Event ends, it's not about the cop getting punched.

i'm trying to understand what exactly rj thinks happened and how he's so damned sure.

i'd say he's pretty spot on on the responses from the usual suspects on both sides of the aisle.

Even if it doesn't affect the outcome of the case, I really hope that brown was innocent of the shoplifting claim, so the racist assholes can own up to it (they still won't)

It's on video. Have you not watched the video yet?

I did see one site claim that the video shows that he paid for his cigars. The video they show is of him at the counter for 20 seconds, with the presumption that he paid. Convenient editing. If you watch the entire video, he never pulls out any money and he reaches over the counter twice to grab cigars, the second time grabbing so many that he dropped some. That is when he was confronted and split.

The article that undefeated linked stated that the conveniece store owner never reported a theft or assault to the police, and was actually surprised when they showed asking for the security video. I'd rather take his word for it than make assumptions from a lo-res video

So what you're saying is that you want police to shoot jaywalkers?
That seems a bit extreme to me.

Who is the sick person who generated the response from Wilson and the ambulance?

meh... if you are that indian store clerk that's in that community right now, you might be pretty quick to claim you never did anything to be involved.

however i do think it's telling that they left cigars on the counter and picked some up and put them back on the counter. that seems to imply they had purchased them.

and personally i think folks looking to paint what happened in the minimart in any light have the wrong idea. what happened there, short of brown brandishing a gun, is irrelevant to what happened on the street.

If he had called in a robbery, there would be a record of it.

Agree with phan's last post.

the link claims the report came from a customer as opposed to the owner or any employees.

Snitches get Stiches

even barring violent retribution it would be pretty bad business.

If a WFU education is worth a damn, it should teach people to keep an open mind before they make up their own mind and consider and be respectful of different perspectives. Threads like this are frustrating and embarrassing.

I have no knowledge of what actually happened. Objectively, some of the police officers I have seen on video (after the fact) are an embarrassment to law enforcement, but I don't know and cannot tell what happened with the shooting in question.

He's in a tough spot himself. He goes home and asks his wife "what are we to do,we have invested (time, money, sweat, etc.,) and we have a relationship with this community...this is our home. I don't know what will happen to our lives here. What if we have to leave...I am not a young man anymore"
