Napa

Nothing worse than a closed minded wannabe wine snob.

French > Cali*

*but it's close, well kind of close, if you exclude champagne, rhone and burgundy (though cali pinots are good)

Cali comes closest in cab,and it's one great contribution is Zin

You are really comparing apples to oranges. The French approach to wine is totally different than the new world approach and it produces very different wine. A better comparison (IMO) would be between America, Australia, South Africa...

I agree with skins. It is unfair to compare California and most French wine because you are comparing New World to Old World. Its different techniques and approaches.

Not bull shit! French wine uses different techniques and strategies behind their wines. In recent years, they have slightly modified them, but they are still old world. With the increase of popularity of new world wines and techniques, they slightly changed, but they are still old world. Italy did the same thing.

To compare French Wine to California wine is like comparing a muscadine wine to a cab sab. It is just not a good comparison.

I love Oregon and Cali Pinot

I love French Pinot more

I like World Cup soccer...I like the Stanley Cup Playoffs more.

And your statement is too general. I am sure I could find a single Oregon Pinot that you would like more than a single French Pinot. I just got back from Burgundy and I can tell you there is a lot of shit there (mixed in with some of the best wine I have ever tasted).

You weren't drinking any '09 shit.

Wine sucks. I've been to Napa and Sonoma and visited a bunch of the vineyards, but it still didn't change the fact that wine sucks.
