My post was more about continuing the poop puns (poopuns? poupons?) than making a statement about losing Ty and Tabb.

Quite insightful reporting from Yahoo, though. I too would be surprised if this coming season we placed worse than, er, last in the ACC.

I forgot about the tunnels. Brings back a couple of old memories. Not sure why I thought it was cool to tunnel back in the day - prolly because I was 20 and stupid and it was verboten. Can you still get in there? And what were those things for anyway - Cold War?

They stole something I would bet. It's been raised as a possible thing multiple times and the people that seem to know the most have tellingly not denied that theory.
 
The amount of times the word 'Poop' (or other words related to fecal matter) has been used throughout the thread has made me fall in love with the boards all over again...

I hope to god they didn't steal, we don't need a bunch of scumbag steve's (Doug Gottlieb's) running around campus. Why couldn't they just sell their Wake/Nike gear like real NCAA superstars? Surely some local booster would have given tens of dollars for a signed Ty Walker jersey worn (at least sat-in) from the pre-season NIT.

Just want to clarify that I have no idea what they did, but that theory just makes the most sense to me. Hope it is not correct.

I apologize if it sounded harsh. The pain in the ass language was speaking of the situation in general and wasn't meant to refer to you as a pain in the ass,

Trying to be more eloquent with it, i would say that people that are in the know and hint all around it without adding anything substantive don't quell rampant speculation, and, IMO, actually fuel speculation because people will throw whatever out there to see what gets shot down. It really only confuses things and makes the thread more of a pain in the ass to sort through and decipher.

I hope that explains my position a little better. Having said all that, please feel free to continue adding whatever you would like to this thread. I know some folks like any nugget they can get, and I wouldn't dream of causing someone to withhold what they know.

Unfortunately this sounds correct. The theft theory has been floated several times and it's the only one that hasn't been refuted.

Not this one. A Coach is responsible for an entire program. In year 2, if there is a gaping hole NOT due to injury, then you're responsible. It was Bzd and staff that decided that they were content with Carson, Ty, Tabb, Nikita, Green, and McKie at the 4 and 5 going into next year.

I expect 15 wins next year. I'll be disappointed with anything less.

I'm with you on this. If we suck then yes it will be one of many reasons. Had this been McKie and CJ then I wouldn't complain about Bz. Since it's two nearly nonfactors it's not a get out of jail free card
