He just lost it. This isn't his situation. Hopefully Manning will stop trying and use him as a decoy to set up DT down low or Wilbekin or Dinos from outside.

Like I said before, down 2 I would have rather gotten a Dinos jumper with 6 sec left than Codi on the line.

yah we gotta figure out some better ways to hide him on defense because good coaches find ways to isolate him and destroy him on screens/cuts to the hoop

hopefully the big bodies coming in next year will keep the frontcourt as a whole a little more fresh. anytime DT has to sit, we have absolutely no rim protection.
 
Credit to UVA, Codi didn't have a lot of good options to pass to at the end. Should have continued with the drive to the basket and hope to get a decent look or a foul.

Yeah. With that much time, down 1, worst case scenario we have the ball down 3 with a little less time on the clock. Best case, we're up 2 and force them to hit a 3 to win.

Would have much rather got the ball inside to Devin and ran through him. I would've settled with letting Dinos, Crab or Wilbekin shoot a 20 footer for the win rather than watching Codi fall to the floor and cost us the game in his typical fashion.
 
People criticize all the want but Manning is proving to be an outstanding hire. Not much more he can do with the team we have. Definitely pushing them to their max and we need a few more playmakers to get us over the top.

Surprised we didn't see Washington for that reason. I think McClinton did fine at PF. Just not a great look with Dinos at C.
 
Stating the obvious but even if he hadn't dropped it, that sequence was going nowhere...

Having DT in the paint helps mask it some. When it was Dinos and Leonard we just got smoked. Wish DT hadn't sat so long in the 2nd half.

ANYBODY but CMM. He has cost us 4 games at the end. It's just a recurring CMM nightmare . And Manning gave him the ball yet AGAIN with the game on the line. Nice choke free throw too.
