Pro Life / Pro Choice Debate

poor people were much better off in the 1400s

The libs are concerned that they appear to care. The effectiveness of their policies is less important. It's all about them, not the people they are ostensibly trying to help.

These policies occur in an economic context that is increasingly difficult for the poor.

Riiiight. Because your policies have worked so well over the last 50 years. Slow clap for the Great Society on three...

the world hasn't solved poverty and disease? pfff, thanks liberals
We should have just given all that money to rich business owners and CEOs, at least they would be responsible and put it offshore or buy stocks with it. Poor people just spend it immedietely and put it right back in the economy. What a waste.

We could migrate off of the concept of giving and onto the path of earning. Just a thought.

Sure. I would love for billions more in government works programs to create jobs - actual jobs. Maybe then we could stop padding the employment #'s with bullshit seasonal crop picking or North Dakota mining jobs.

Do you eat? #alljobsmatter

Give me a "bullshit job" over a bullshit fibromyalgia claim (tacked on the back of an exhausted bullshit unemployment insurance stay).

Then why do the libs claim to be doing it (as far as poverty is concerned)? Even worse why do they keep insisting on doing over and over what obviously for significant numbers of poor is not working?

When it comes to dealing with the problems of the poor, modern liberalism has become an exercise in dishonest pointless hopeless cruelty. Time to do something different.

wanting to let gays get married and women make as much money as men for the same job is dishonest, pointless and hopelessly cruel/

you live a strange life

what liberals do you see anywhere shouting from the rooftops about ending poverty?

To their credit, they're not quite that bold. Instead, it's more of a micro-boast premised on empathy preemption. You see, if you don't adopt their policies (and only their policies), then you must not "care." Liberals, I've learned on these here Tunnels, have monopolies on both compassion and good ideas. It's like this:

if only JH cared about the lives of children after they're outside the womb

Which liberals are claiming they're curing poverty? Trying to help the impoverished is a noble goal. What are the conservative ideas for trying to help the impoverished? Not helping them?
