CBM: X-Men '97 finale; My Adventures with Superman S2 May 25; The Boys S4 June 13

But with Kring back behind the controls of a ship he ran aground the last time, and with HRG surrounded by a bunch of new characters (plus the promise of future appearances of folks nobody missed like Greg Grunberg's telepathic ex-cop Matt Parkman), "Heroes Reborn" seems like a show designed only to appease the die-hards who watched the original to the bitter end.

:couch:

I hate watched the hell out of that season at the circus. Hard to believe something as good as Daredevil, Arrow, or Agent Carter could come only a few years after the last few seasons of Heroes and crap like The Cape.

Arrow Season 2 lived up to the hype. Looking forward to The Flash taking a similar leap.

idk if this is the comic book thread or the TV thread or just whatever Ph wants, but Ta Nehisi Coates is writing Black Panther for Marvel

Its going to be quite a challenge for TNC to find a way for the wealthy crown prince of a nation to blame everyone but himself for his problems, but I'm sure he's up to the task.

Thankfully, you don't have to have a college degree to be a comic writer.

I just finished Gotham s2e1 even though I had knocked it off my watch list for this season. With talk of improvement here and elsewhere, I decided to give it one more shot. Unfortunately, I didn't see any improvement at all, except the addition of that chick who is to be Tigress, since she's super hot.

I do wish the show had used Ph's suggestion above of having more focus on Thomas Wayne while he was alive, except I'd modify his suggestion to kill him at the end of s1 to instead kill him at the end of the series. Despite the literally thousands of Batman stories that have been told, I feel like I know little about Thomas and Martha and I would welcome seeing them fleshed out more.

I give a thumbs up to Heroes: Reborn. At first I was put off by what I thought was a blatant rip-off of Civil War with the main premise (big kaboom leads to powered registration requirement) but I'm interested with where they go from here. The storyline I'm most wary of is the Japanese girl's, but again, I'll see where that goes. I'm glad it's just 13 episodes so we can get the story moved along fairly quickly.

The web prequel on NBC.com is worth checking out too.

I liked it too. I agree that the Japanese girl's storyline was just...odd. Seemed kind of out of place and trying a bit to hard to recreate Hiro and Ando's relationship.

Other than that, I enjoyed it.

Really curious to see if AOS will take any cues from the success of Agent Carter and Daredevil. AOS improved, but those two were clearly better.

An odd thing just happened after I watched the last episode of Gotham... I found myself involved and when it was over, I actually thought "Nooo, it can't be over now!" which is a first for the show.

I don't know if this was simply lightning in a bottle, but I'm back in.

Screw you guys if I waste two hours watching this show and it still sucks.
