Townie, do you use words like "anathemetizing" in conversation with your non-virtual acquaintances?

Any evidence yet to CNN's repeated and unsubstantiated theory that they kept going on and on and on and on about that these terrorists came in with Syrian refugees?

Why are you so against this narrative? What scares you about it.

it would pretty fucking suck for all the people who are putting their lives on the line trying to get away from fuckers like these, so it would make sense to be hesitant and really verify that it's true if you're going to make people suspicious of more refugees

CNN is saying that fingerprints from one of the terrorists match those on the Syrian passport that was used to enter Greece.

A clear and present danger to the legacy of this President. It is starting to seem that you can't contain the j.v. team with a James Taylor encore and an apology.

So the best you've got is a fingerprint match from a severed appendage traced to someone who came in as a refugee? #BoardDemswillfeignuncertainty.

Also, simply focusing on the religion of these criminals is rewarding their subhuman behavior. Reducing the complex and heterogenous billions of Muslims to a caricature is a recruiting pitch for new terrorists - the West anathematizing and marginalizing them. Poor form for educated men to be so simple minded.

Exactly we should search for these people to prevent future attacks but we should not use religious affiliation when trying to find them. Just look for sub human behaviour.

This response is as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning. Fuck Islam and the camel it rode in on.

This all sounds good and nice, and while I agree with Townie intellectually, how is this to be accomplished practically in a way that will keep us safe. Seems as if many of the "good" Muslims are unwilling to help in the identification of the "radicalized" Muslims. Hate to sound crass but the adage "if you are not for me, then you are against me" seems appropriate. Very difficult to imagine a winning strategy that is not extreme.

Agreed. I am not in favor of bombing them again, I would just take all of the trillions of dollars that would be spent doing that towards a strategy of extensive access control to flights and boats coming into the US, Canada, and Mexico. If you have any ties to a middle eastern country or Islam, I don't care if you are the Muslim version of Mother Theresa, you ain't getting in here. You lost your collective chance, and we don't need your business/money. Then increase investigations on everyone already here to clear them of affiliation.

Sometimes violence is not the answer.

Sometimes the answer is disproportionate, unrestricted violence that inspires the lasting peace we have enjoyed with Japan and Germany.

Sounds like you are advocating dropping an atomic bomb on the location where ISIS is located, as we did in Japan. That is certainly an option.

If we decided to that, it would mean thousands of innocent people would die, none of whom choose to die.

While this may be legal, some times the law allows things that are morally wrong.

If we were do this, we will look back with great sadness on this atrocity.

Before we drop the bomb, we should be sure to view images of those we are bombing. That's a human being on the monitor.

We are not going to nuke them, but we need to stop pretending that they are a) "not a threat"-ogb, b) "j.v."-POTUS and c) "contained." - POTUS.

How many people did climate change kill this week?

I guess I am confused by what you mean when you say "disproportionate, unrestricted violence."
