Democratic Candidates for POTUS, 2016 edition

I don't disagree. We are really talking about degrees of the welfare state. But then why call yourself a socialist?

How are you this dense? You (allegedly) live in Europe, for fucks sake.

I have not listened to Bernie's speeches enough and am not thoroughly familiar with his past positions to say exactly what he is, but in fact he may not be the democratic socialist he claims to be

Maybe you should, then?

Yeah. I didn't understand that either.

Bernie Sanders has done an unbelievable job spinning to his supporters the results of this primary season. It has been a pretty sound 13-15% beat down but some Sanders supporters really think that it has been close. And that the Democratic party rules have gone against them. Or that voting fraud has cost them the nomination. Or that that Sanders is the more electable general election candidate. It's amazing really.

I think the raw number is about 3.000,000 for Hillary's vote lead.

That base seems to operate in an echo chamber of delusion about many things. Propaganda seems to be very effective with that base. Just keep repeating them same things over and over again until they become "truth".

Do you think Hillary should release the transcripts for her Wall Street speeches?

That's because it's a cult. The only reason the Dem shite show hasn't seemed so awful is because the Pub shite show has been historically abominable. Hillary sucks as a politician and has run a poor campaign, like she did 8 years ago, and she still has won the nomination fairly easily.

Bernie Sanders – Verified account ‏@SenSanders

America is not supposed to be about 20 people owning more wealth than the bottom 120 million Americans - half of our population.

First of all, I'd bet that it's 90+% the same speech each market segment. It would be logical for anyone to give basically the same speech to all bankers, to all commencements, to all groups in the same industry.

Next, the price is what the market bears. Hell, Lewis Black gets up to $150,000 for corporate events. Jon Stewart would get more. Hell in 2012, Keanu Reeves got paid a minimum of $250,000 for a personal appearance (http://www.businessinsider.com/cele...e-range-of-250000-to-350000-per-appearance-14). Hell, even Kevin Federline charged $300,000.

Trump gets $1,500,000 for a speaking engagement.

The concept that Hillary charged an outrageous amount of money is ludicrous.

It's also ludicrous to think that for $225,000 anyone would get extra access when anyone with the money and an event could have hired her for evening. Plus, due to the insane CU ruling, she'll be raising multiple billions for the race. $225,000 is 1/50th of 1% of $1B.
