Louie returns April 9 at 10:30 (summer TV thread)

Yep. He looks a lot different in his 60s style on Mad Men than in other roles.

That scene in Wilfred where the neighbor chick was in the bikini and her boyfriend throws her over his shoulder...very nice indeed. Worth a shout out here.

I love when Wilfred says he's gonna wait til Drew's asleep and put his hand in warm water so he begins to pee himself and then crush his skull with a rock.

I'm a huge Kim Coates fan. That was a decent ep of Entourage. More Ari plz.

And I love the Dana Gordon-Ari pairing.

And I love the Dana Gordon-Ari pairing.

Definitely a power couple. It's not forced at all. He's obviously liked and respected her throughout the series.

I'd argue that they were in love the entire time.

Mrs. Ari is the mother of his children, so he proally loves her too but I'd honestly like him to end up with Dana, she's right for him.

Damn White Collar. Damn. They took a good great last season finale, built a good season around it while slow playing the cat and mouse angle into a nice character arc, then completely flipped the script around to another great finale with a clear winner and a clear loser leading into what should be another great season.

It's time for to move this show from the "nice light TV watching" category to "one of my favorite dramas" category. I've never liked a procedural as much as this.

I agree that White Collar was good. I honestly don't like the story arc of Neil stealing the art. I just don't know what to make of the ending with Elizabeth. That will leave everyone wanting to come back!

As to Covert Affairs - it is having a better summer season finale than Covert Affairs. They didn't take the last 10 minutes where I thought they would. I'm a little disappointed in it, but at the same time it doesn't leave me on edge which is a good thing.

I just hate that the summer season is almost over. I have more summer shows than normal shows.

You don't like the story arc for the story itself or you don't like Neal as a confirmed bad guy lying to Peter?

The ending was a move to make Neal's life uncomfortable. He had found a balance between being a halfway crook and a good guy who gets to be a respected expert. Moz nailed it in the end and the whole season. It's not something he could do forever and this forces his hand. I don't really like the Keller character, but the show does need a bad guy.

Watching Covert Affairs now. I'm so glad they gave tall pretty Anne Dudek something to do on this show. She was wasted the first season.

I think they could have gone in a different direction with the art work, but that arc was probably seen as predictable. I don't like how he didn't choose to steal the art, but instead Moz decided to steal it. I hated the Keller character. I honestly am hoping that they figure out some way that Keller goes down for stealing the art.

There were some great moments with Covert tonight, some that I wish they had fleshed out more.

I thought the whole season would be Neal and Moz trying to fence the art work under Peter's nose. I thought the direction they went in was much better. A season of fencing would have been repetitive.

This season was a character study. I like how Moz forced Neal to make a decision and how this scenario forces Neal's hand again. For a accomplished con, he seems to get comfortable easily. His relationship with the redhead and general lack of relationships on the show suggests that as well.

Whoa, they dropped the S word on Covert Affairs? Since when do they curse on USA (characters welcome?

Glad to see them actually filming in DC. Nice touch. Toronto's nice and all but DC is DC. I liked the finale. I liked the sister stuff. Her reaction made sense as a protective big sis. I'm curious what the Jai plot will be. His character was underutilized by design. I'll reference something I posted in our conversation earlier in the season:

I think that may have been the other parallel in the show. The obvious one was Annie's instructor bemoaning putting his family life on the backburner while Annie was trying to make sure she made time for the doctor.

The second one may have been the CIA legacy guy at the farm being the leak while Jai (an uber-legacy) expresses his frustration with not getting promoted. There may be more to it than that that I don't remember, but it definitely looks like they were setting up Jai to turn or at least consider it unless I'm reading way too much into it. The trainer's quote at that end may have been relevant. "Sometimes you've got to beat everybody to feel like a somebody" or something like that.

Geez, I feel like a fangirl.

I'm pretty sure he called the reporter his dad was talking to when he visited him. It's obvious, but it would be a good turn. By the way, nice move by USA to cast a darker skinned Indian guy as the biological son of a white guy.

Klosterman on Louie:

http://www.grantland.com/blog/hollywood-prospectus/post/_/id/32345/louies-brilliant-second-season

Includes this passage, which I whole-heartedly agree with:

"The more I think about it, the more I suspect the interaction with Dane Cook might be the strongest seven-minute stretch I’ve ever seen on television: It’s realer than any reality show, more emotionally complicated than most 300-page memoirs, yet still awkward and severe and (somehow) easy to watch. I want to know everything about this scene — I want to know if this conversation truly happened, I want to know Cook’s views on his involvement, and I want to know C.K.’s deeper intent."

Wow. Maybe I need to watch it again or maybe it's because I've managed to avoid Dane Cook. Didn't see his HBO special and haven't seen any of his movies.

Can you like help me out with this?

What seems to be the problem?

I have zero dicks in here

I've gone back three pages and nothing about White Collar or Covert Affairs..do you think it might be time ot change the title of the thread?
