I think allowing more refugees to immigrate here is certainly a mistake if these peace loving muslims hate gays and hold the same values about women as their country indicates. what sense does it make to continue to bring these refugees etc in if they have these beliefs and no plans to assimilate. These are not even referring to the radicals that want to act on it and wage "jihad". The left says well we have people that rape women here or we have groups that hates gays already. That may be true but how can that be an argument that we should let more in especially when we can not obviously vet them properly. I just don't see how liberals do not see dichotomy.

The threat posed by guns in this country is orders of magnitude greater than the threat posed by muslim extremism. Maybe our response should be as well.
 
Using the logic Childress quoted logic, we shouldn't worry about rape because there are thousands of murders.

this is a very interesting point and part of the hypocrisy that kills me. How do you feel about black people being murdered by white police versus black people being murdered by black people.

I suspect the magnitude of threat posed by one is greater than the other however it seems the response isn't?

honeslty it seems like everyone (except elkman) is on board for more gun control and it's just a matter of degree.

the rest of the argument is about islam, which i think we agree should be banned

Seriously? When black people murder other black people we put them in jail. Black leaders in the community speak out condemning the violence. We also pump tons of money into fighting gangs (a major source of black on black crime) both on the enforcement and prevention side.

When white police officers murder black people we come up with ways to justify the officer's behavior, suspend him without leave, give non-stop media attention to the protests, and then move on without doing anything.

Just because you don't see the former on Fox News doesn't mean there is no response to black on black crime.

let's not make this thread about this but if you think the riots and BLM movement is commiserate with the black leaders apparently condemning the violence then I can't stop you and MSNBC brainwashing you.

It's outrageous to suspend Muslim immigration. There are many Muslims who pose no threat. Plus this will feed the crazies concept that the US is at war with Islam. That will guarantee many more deaths.

Should we suspend all Christian immigration due to the crazies in Uganda who want to kill all gays saying The Bible gives them the right to?

EDIT: Also most mass shooters in America are white, Christian men, should ban white men from immigrating?

The equivalency of your logic is suspend firearm sales and suspend Muslim immigration.

What we should do is curtail easy accessibility of firearms and ramp up the background checks on people coming from Muslim nations.
