RIO Olympics Mafia - Day 4 Ends at 1:30:59pm

Also, chic was the last one, correct? If so, that explains why the suspicious votes didn't make sense since two mafia were tied up. If it wasn't chic, then damn, I just read civ votes as maf.

There was actually no rhyme or reason to that post at the deadline, just a bunch of nonsense after browsing through many posts after getting back from lunch. I just picked 7 random players and put them into random leans making sure to not include any of my mafia brethren.

As for the vote itself, just hoped that one person on MM or Chic would switch to duff and create a tie of one mafia and one civ and the RNG would help us out on the coin flip. Also thought it could help Chic look clean if MM died there and I died before her. I just didn't expect to be lynched day 2 when I knew I was going to be gone from like 3:40 until 9ish.

Doofus coming out with 1 minute to go as the cop as well as investigating me night 1 (most cleared civ, hence Eagles protected me) looked VERY bad. And I wasn't going to let him skirt out of that.

Then when OT started and I could think about it more, given our protections available, it was worth saving him in case he was actually cop as he'd probably get another investigation or two.

I mean, if not for a mechanic you had no way of knowing was goin to impact that, you kill the claimed cop and then get insta lynched the next day...his claim sucked but lol at trying to kill someone who has inno'd you

if i reroll, or if someone does, here are changes to consider:

1) indy hits each night if he outlives mafia
2) zika can make a single strongman/ninja augmented maf kill once as long as zika the disease is alive
3) mafia rb and hit and rb in same night
4) indy doesn't need to offer on first night and recruit on 2nd night. recruitment occurs in single night

this possibly overbeefs the non-civs, but might as well give it a shot since civs swept the floor this game

I accept that I almost killed him (Ryala almost did, too) and that would have been a mistake. I acted hastily because both the timing of the reveal and decision to investigate me seemed illogical. After having a couple minutes to think about it (as would have happened if it wasn't done last minute), I obviously decided we should kill dv7 instead.

If doofus had died, I would not at all have been insta-lynched. 1) I easily would have been able to defend it. But more importantly, 2) he cleared me with the investigation.

It would have been a mistake to kill him but I wouldn't have felt too bad about the mistake given the reveal.

I probably wouldn't do all those.

Civs got very lucky with gouda dying before being able to do anything combined with mafia being lynched first two days. I'd agree with 1 and 2 (makes it more important to kill the Zika), probably don't need 3 and 4.

All right, thanks for the feedback. We could also make the promiscuous olympian unclaimable by not letting the player know they had that role, they would just think they were a favela fodder player. In fact, could have multiple promiscuous ppl in the village

Yeah, he didn't think it was OT. He thought he was dead, but he got saved by Zika so it was OT. And because he made that post after the deadline, which a maf wouldn't make, they killed the other person in OT.

I agree, don't think the game was imbalanced. 0 effort from mafia except the ones that got lynched the first day screwed it up.
 
I just really had a shitstorm of meetings and life that precluded me from playing, which then made it look like I was hiding. Oh well

This is 100% factually incorrect.

And to be honest, mafia knew it would go to OT so very possible that could have been doofus making a strategic comment since he (if mafia) knew it was going to OT.

If a maf fake claimed a minute before the deadline and got voted off, he's not posting a minute after the deadline about how bad people were for voting for him.

I don't know about hosed, but having a watcher, cop and bodyguard in game with four maf is tough for the maf. Because once the cop comes out, you can't kill him without losing two maf. One to the bodyguard and one to the watcher
