General Election Thread: Two Weeks Out

Total lie....I never dud such a thing nor was I banned ...but keep makiig things up

I'm glad to hear this. I don't doubt someone did that, but they probably did it anonymously and moonz just figured it was you.

Still don't buy that there are a lot of Hillshills on here, that is, people shilling for Hillary. Most make fun of Trump, but few people (any?) are coming on here and touting this Hillary policy or that. Most of the rhetoric is strictly anti-Trump, and at most is "well, she's definitely the best option out there."

Well, not every shill is on the level of Chris/rj/Shmoo, but that doesn't mean they're not shills. Look, I'm speaking from personal experience. I know many of the shills claim they're more anti-Trump than pro-Hillary but watch what happens if you criticize Hillary and interrupt the circlejerk- they flip the fuck out. I started off making modest, obvious criticisms of her. They couldn't handle even those.

I have no problem defending Hillary from your bullshit Breitbart, Alt-right conspiracy posts, and any attempt at false equivalency between Trump and Clinton. If that makes me a shill, so be it. You have never made a modest, obvious criticism of her. I'm voting for her because she will be a much better President than Trump and having Trump in the White House is legit dangerous to our nation.

This 1,000 times.

Let me be perfectly clear:

I do not like Hillary Clinton
I would have voted for anybody else in the Democratic Primary (and I did with Bernie Sanders)
I don't think she is honest
I don't like her foreign policy
I don't think she was the best choice for the Democrats

All that being said...I do not think:

She is friends with terrorists
Has an illness that will prevent her from doing a good job as POTUS
There will be a noticeable drop-off from what has already been established under Obama

She is not Donald Trump and that's why I'm voting for her. She has more credence and knowledge about governing, policies, and politics in her little finger than Donald Trump has in his entire body.

If that makes me a "HillShill" or whatever the hell you want to call it, then so be it.

And Gary Johnson and Bill Weld have more credence and knowledge about governing, policies, and politics then she and Tim Kaine do.

So are you on team Johnson/Weld 2016?

And why would she be better than Johnson/Weld? 4 terms of counter governance and excellence?

Hey, he added them to the thread title. I see that as "GET HIM IN THE DEBATES!"

Also, if they can convince me of the bolded above, I will definitely consider voting for them.

I live in Alabama, so it won't matter either way. But I'm also not going to hide behind an independent just so I can complain no matter who wins.

25 years fighting the R fight. All in on Johnson/Weld, 2016.

Ask away, I'll give you policy positions. Especially in a state that if it is competitive, the election is over.

I was just asking in 27 had turned the corner to J/W, somewhat in jest. Soon in earnest. Shoosmoo is a new potential convert,

BSD,

Heavily medicated and in therapy. Anger issues turned into a massive anxiety disorder, panic attacks and a deepening depression issue. Disabled attorney, turning professor. That's why I'm a little sensitive I might have done something in the past, but never sending emails.

Trying to be better. Anger leads to anxiety and pretty much shut down disaster for me.

Old and new Mf,

Dang. I'm sorry to hear you went through that but glad you have found a new path! Welcome back and I look forward to getting in more ridiculous (but civilized) arguments with you.

So knowledge of policies is the reason to vote for someone? What about the actual policies themselves?

I really like his foreign policy plan of noninterventionism. Not so big on his domestic plans, but that's just a disagreement from liberal to conservative views on big government.

An attorney's life unless you are one of the wackos who actually "enjoys" the profession is no fun at all

BSF's victim complex is so funny to me. Dude if it's such a "horrific place" (exaggerate much?) go find an echo chamber that's more to your liking.

Between his continuous spam postings interjected with victim complex and moonz spam, this place has almost gotten unreadable.

They do? Look Johnson/Weld are one of the two credible teams running for President, but as Deacfan said I have too many policy disagreements with them.

Trump sounds like he's been beaten up. He sounds like he needs a Xanax.

I'm a bit concerned and hope you can find a board with people who are a bit more thoughtful, mature, open-minded, and pleasant. Somewhere where the tone is a bit more serious and maybe slightly more academic. Or perhaps the libertarian or Gary Johnson subreddit? He seems to be popular on reddit.

This might be the first time that anyone has ever suggested that reddit was a "more academic" forum for political discussion.
