Respect & Patriotism vs. Free Speech & Protest

Which, in this case delightfully includes what white people are thinking.

What W&B seems to believe is that he and his cohorts can broadcast an unpunctuated stream of insulting low expectations (as communicated through the way they choose to make and implement policies) and we're all supposed to accept their contradictory assurances that they respect the dignity and ability of people they pretend to care about. We're all supposed to accept---without question---that systemic racism/police brutality/the third verse of the national anthem causes 75% single parent births, plurality labor participation and epidemic high school drop out rates. If you are so fearful of discussing anything other than the role of racism, it's increasingly hard to believe you respect (and just as much, care) about the dignity of people. A fear to criticize (constructively) betrays an absence of respect.

At least this thread can put to rest the argument that there is no anger like the type shown by liberals towards black conservatives. A black man who dares to suggest that the US isn't utopia DURING A SPORTING EVENT drives conservatives fucking insane.

I have not seen any anger on this thread. Disagreement yes, anger not so much. At least we did not call disagreement hate, so there is progress.

This picture proves Frau 923 can find a picture on the internet. Congrats.

Can he find a post where a left-leaning poster on the Tunnels is unapologetically and without qualification critical of the epidemic of personal irresponsibility in the black community that leads to 75% single parent birth rates, or perhaps....just perhaps...do I have a point?

I'm not trying to be "correct" for its own sake (that got old years ago); how are we helping with round 2,487 of the "yeah, but that raciosm, though" speech? Show me who that helps, and how.

If such a high percentage of people are failing to own up to individual responsibility then at what point is it the system that they are in that is causing this to happen?

I assume this is where you (once again) blame the "FAILED 50 YEARS OF DEMOCRATIC IDEAS" as the system?

I don't believe I'll ever get the Tunnels posters to concede that the results of the policies they support should be critically examined. You might say, I'm a dreamer.

For now, I'm hoping we can all muster the courage to say "Okay, yeah, racism, but not just racism." We are trying to help, right?

Clearly racism is not the only thing that is causing problems in America. Everybody knows that.

Is this like the "say Radical Islamic Terroism" thing again?

The man is trying to communicate with you. Obviously, you are not trying to do the same.

Is this the post you are referencing?

sick burn, yo.

I just don't know why jmh won't acknowledge is support for ease of access and more abortions. The number one preventer of 1 parent households.

jhmd the great communicator. "Just completely and without qualification agree with my position and THEN we'll start talking about whatever it is you want to talk about".

90% of the time I can ignore his schtick but every now and then I feel the need to point out what a complete trolling bullshit artist he is.

There you go again. You just can't help yourself. I never stated, anywhere on this board or any other, that "systemic racism/police brutality/the third verse of the national anthem causes 75% single parent births, plurality labor participation and epidemic high school drop out rates." But you really need for me to have posted that, so much so that you go ahead and attribute that to me so you can spray that jizz all over this thread.

Kaepernick, nor any of us who listen to black Americans when they talk about being treated differently by police for the color of their skin, are talking about entitlements and single-parent homes right now. By conflating the two, you are blaming the existence of this mistreatment on blacks themselves, and you are patting yourslef on the back for it at the same time.
