Yeah when your whole platform is based off a wall and deporting millions of people immediately there is no slow playing the wall. That thing needs to be well on its way to being complete at the end of his first 4 years at the latest.
We can let them pay for it as they get the money. No need to be a hardass about this. Trump will give them really favorable terms.
Any Mexican politician who sends a grain of sand in payment to build the wall will end his career. Anyone who thinks there's a 1 in 100,000,000,000,000 of 1% chance that Mexico will pay for the wall is a moron. It's that simple.
There's a far better chance that the Supreme Leader of Iran will convert to Judiasm than Mexico will pay one peso towards building a wall.

It wouldn't be pretty, but Trump would have plenty of cards to play in a Wall Negotiation. Again, I disagree with spending up to $25 billion on a wall. In my opinion there are better ways to address the problem.

You're acting like it wouldn't cost millions of US jobs to put a tariff on Mexico. Remember a significant portion of the value of Mexican exports to the US are from products that are assembled in Mexico from parts made in the US.
There's no chance of this happening and he knows it. If he doesn't then he's an idiot. He knows it's not happening and is willing to lie to his supporters.
By the way, the cost of the building of the wall does not include the cost of the land. Nor does it include the cost of rerouting the Rio Grande in TX to keep the water flowing to US ranches and farms along the border.
The best way to stop this is to keep the most amoral, scamming, thief and slave labor using candidate since reconstruction out of the WH.
