Month Out: Presidential Election Predictions

If Trump isn't out by Tuesday, the logistics may make in impossible for him to quit. Plus quiting is worse for his brand than losing.

I'm not a grammar nazi, but this is just ridiculous.

Based on his tax returns, history of chapter 11, and this race...Trump will have to rebrand his self proclaimed "winning temperament and mentality".

Clinton either 324 or 342 depending on Ohio.

Trump gets AZ, GA, IA, and MO.

Clinton gets everything else, including Nebraska's special district.

We are less than thirty days out. Early voting has already started. I don't think there's time to get someone else on the ticket. Plus I think Trump bought himself time last night. Hilary didn't put him away.

This 1 looks about right. Maybe OH to Clinton too now that Trump is retrenching from his freefall, although I wouldn't be surprised if he won NC as well. Those seem to be the 2 closest states. I'm also not sure what's going on in IA. It's been as purple as you can get for the last decade or so, but it's definitely been red this cycle. I'll also be a bit hopeful and say 52 in the Senate.

Not sure it can get that bad, but who knows. Even if it does, a lot of those states turn back red in next election. However if it does, senate total could get dangerously high for Dems.

Dems will likely only have two years of Senate control, depending on their margin. 2018 Senate races feature 23 Dem seats (plus 2 Independents) against 8 for the GOP. Of the Dem seats, that includes MT, MO, ND, WV, and IN. GOP has NV and seven solid red states.

Of those, MO & IN are likely goners. Pubs will likely hold NV in a midterm. MT & ND will be interesting because you have good and atypical Dem senators there, but midterms are typically tough for Dems in red states. Maybe if they can get Clinton to take it easy on ranchers they could have an easier time of it. This is why it's critical to get to 52 or 53 this year. If they can reach that number, maybe they still hold it at 50 in 2018. I'd also throw FL into the equation if Nelson retires or starts heading downhill because he's getting up there in age.

Damn. Nelson is 74. Doesn't look a day over 66.

I don't trust the FL Dem bench at all. And to the extent there is a bench, some will be running for Governor.

It's going to get that bad. This is going to be the kind of political disaster for the GOP that our grandkids will read about in high school history classes.

If it's a total wipeout and the Dems get complete control, Republicans are finished. The demographics already look terrible for them. But there are also 12-30 million illegals (no one knows the real number) that Hillary wants to make citizens. The overwhelming majority of them will not be registering as Republicans.

I had thought all along that GOTV would be more of a Dem problem with millennials. But now that Trump is at war with his party, there is a good chance that many Trump voters will just vote for him and not vote for Pub senate and house candidates who have disavowed Trump. And maybe some establishment Pubs join Dem millennials and just stay home. Still think the house is out of range, but Dems shouldn't write off FL & AZ quite yet and should still pour $$ into those states and MO.

New idea...if your state votes Trump then you are removed from the Union. That would eliminate most of the problems in America.

Most of those states hate our government anyway. Might as well just let them go. Absolutely no surprise that maps of states mesh right along education numbers.

Many of us are held hostage. I sure wouldn't want to get punished for Pat McCrory or Virginia Foxx
