Chicago Cubs Thread - Playoff Push Pending

Getting amped up about this series, especially as a lot of articles dig into the matchups.

Even though Kershaw came in last night in the 9th, I think he will still be the guy to get the ball tomorrow night. A Lester/Kershaw matchup could be just as good as the Lester/Cueto matchup was where one big hit can make all the difference.

Good timing with the Wake game as well even though I don't anticipate that will be close.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dodgers go Kershaw Sunday night against Hendricks to make sure he is good to go.

Last night was effectively a bullpen session, but not sure how he normally prepares/throws during off days.

I think he goes game 2 - but that should mean he gets at most 2 starts. Maybe relief in game 6 or 7 if it goes that long.

Maddon still not saying who is going game 2 for Cubs right now.

If Kyle is good to go I expect it to be the same as the first series - lets Hendricks go at home and Arrieta should still be fine on the road.

Jake pitches really well in Cali (or he has in the past). Not sure I would switch anything up from the Lester-Hendricks-Arrieta-Lackey formula.

Cubs make one change for the NLCS roster. Zastryzny becomes the fourth LH pitcher in the bullpen and the twelfth pitcher on the roster. Tommy LaStella removed from the roster.

Drop the bum Lackey

Edit: Whoops
