2015 class was very good. Brown looks like a great get for 2017. No one in the 2016 class has yet shown he can play in the ACC.
 
Unfortunately, I still think we should all just "wait until next year". We are still a year away. Chaundee will bring a ton to a position that we are weak at this year. Crawford, Woods, Brown, Collins and one of Dinos/Moore/SJM, is a strong starting 5. I can see us having a similar season to this years Va Tech team, or perhaps better if Chaundee is even better than advertised.

Sure but we have been saying "wait till next year for 7 year". Next year we will be saying it again.

Yeah, that's why I put it in quotes. It's our thing as Wake fans. This year is the light at the end of the 10 year tunnel and next year we have no reason not to be completely "back".
 
We're gonna need a lot more than just Chaundee next year. Depth will still be an issue.
 
For us, wait till next year just means bringing in more talent. That's what we're counting on to pull out wins. And maybe next year that will happen. Yet the truly great teams have not just talent, but talent which is channeled through excellent coaching.

There is no waiting till next year for better coaching. Manning is who he is. Hope next year we can just get hot at the right times to string together a tournament-worthy resume.

You gotta believe we'll find a couple of guys to step up and make an 8 man rotation. Melo has the size and athleticism to be a good wing defender and overall player. Out of SJM, D-Wash, Chill, and Donovan, you gotta believe 2 will step up and make a normal Fr to So leap. I'm looking at you, Chill and SJM. hope I'm right. This shit has gone on too long
 
so far childress looks like chenault with better pedigree
 
Was Childress a lousy shooter in hs? Because his stroke doesn't look that terrible to me. Seems like he was shooting okay the first few games. But if a shot goes in now it's pretty much just pure luck.
 
Chill was a very good shooter in HS and AAU. His shooting this year has been a huge disappointment. His form is textbook.

Does Kenpom take Manning's coaching into account? It would seem that might skew it a bit.

Does Kenpom know what happened against UVA?
 
Was keeping up with the game on my phone while golfing, with 7 minutes left and us up 61-51, I told my playing partners "they'll blow it or at least try to." Wake teams collapsing when winning late is as sure a prediction as the sun rising in the morning.
 
Wake fans understand clutch because we literally are the opposite of it

We're going to bring in a borderline 4 star, a guy similarly rated to Collins (who dropped FAR in the rankings because of an injury that took him out of Summer ball, where players get scouted/watched), and we have one open scholarship that we could hopefully bring in a solid grad transfer at a position of need. I think we will be very good next year and still have not given up on this year.
