BBall Recruiting Thread 2k18 - Hoard, Mucius, Lewis, and Wright sign NLIs!

I wouldn't go crazy over it, but it's a good sign that he might be the best walk on we've had in awhile. It will be interesting to see if he contributes beyond practice in anything other than mop up duty.

The best player on the other team was Walter Whyte, a Boston University commit that had offers from VCU, Davidson and Richmond among others. So at best you're talking A-10, MAC, Ivy League level recruits.

Here is Whyte's highlight reel of the game if you want a sense of the level of competition in that game. Okeke is #34 in white.

Pretty rare that we get a lowlight package of an incoming recruit. Hard to believe a player that lazy on those plays had a triple double in the same game.

Looks like FAA is a regional CT league.

That's the magic of highlight reels. I'm sure Okeke's highlight reel would look awesome from the same game if properly edited.

The next Lauri Markkanen? International prospects to watch in 2017

Olivier Sarr, France

Sarr has been buzzing in recruiting circles over the last few weeks, as he’s beginning to dive into his recruitment more. The 6-foot-11 big man cut his list to California, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt and UCF, and took his visits over the past few weeks.

Sarr has a very high ceiling, and scouts are very intrigued by his potential -- especially after he blocked 10 shots in 96 minutes at the U17 World Championship. “I really like his upside,” one scout said. “He’s still a work in progress, but he has a chance.”

Here's hopin'.

If we're going for a Washington signee, let's go for Michael Porter, Jr.

I'm going for ones that we were heavily involved with previously and from the area.

Do you really think he'd want to come to Wake and sit? He ain't beating out Bryant. He ain't beating out Chaundee. He'd have some real work to do to catch up to a nearly 47% three point shooter in Keyshawn. He'd have to challenge Brandon for minutes. And probably Mitchell as well.

Why go after a guy who isn't as good as the ones we have and who play 30 mpg?

Maybe we can hire Porter's dad like WA did and like Harbaugh did in football.

where do you even begin with the dumbness of this post

If Manning does pursue Blake Harris, it will tell us a lot about how our 2018 point guard recruiting is going. Take Harris and we lose any shot at Dotson et al.

So Ayo thinks Blake (who was ranked below Bryant) would come to Wake KNOWING he has NO CHANCE to start. That's typical and monumental stupidity on your part. It shows you have NO CLUE how recruits think.

Bryant has been 5th then 2nd in the ACC in assists, has played 31.7 and 31.4 mpg in his two years. He will be the unquestioned leader of the team coming back next year. There is no reason to think Bryant will play less minutes than this year.

Only a fucking, arrogant moron would think a Top 100 recruit would go to Wake to sit behind such a player.

Ayo, you should really stop posting about basketball. You know nothing about the sport. You know nothing about recruits or recruiting. All you are is an arrogant asshole who digs a hole deeper every time he posts.

I will be severely disappointed if we do not get a top 100 point guard in the next two years.

I guess that makes me an arrogant idiot.

Although I agree with your premise that a top recruit will not go to a program where he will not start for two years, I believe that the opportunity is there for him to play alongside of Crawford. Manning has run plenty of sets with Crawford playing off the ball, and since we don't have a dominant two guard, it is reasonable that they can both start with Brown at the three
