Magnitude of game against Louisville

John Currie leaving K-State and returning to UT as Vice chancellor and Director of Athletics, btw. So, don't plan on him succeeding Wellman.

I had no idea there was so much money in Greensboro personal injury law

Hahaha perfect. In hindsight this was the obvious guess. DR would view the restaurant industry as below his self-inflated stature. I think DR has suffered enough, I'll leave y'all to debate the attractiveness of some poor mid-30s event planner, not really my cup of tea.

Dude, you have taken this too far.

Donald Ross...I have met richer people in my short lifetime without looking hard...quit acting like you are above everyone on this board...because you are not.

Doesn't mean i don't see you as a friend, but to act big and tough on a message board, throw out comments that you don't have facts to back up, and continue to hold views that are outrageous, you will get called out.

Elrod betrayed wake. Wes miller is an average coach in a small conference. and Danny Manning is turning things around quickly.

again, when is the last time wes miller took a 3 star under the radar prospect and made him a lottery pick with one solid year of PT...Ill wait

I'm sorry that you misunderstood. Let me clean it up and you can reread my posts:

1) I don't think I'm above everyone on this board. I'm very good at what I do. So are a lot of other people in our community.

2) Elrod did betray Wake. The fact that this occurred does not change the fact that Elrod is my friend. I also am very critical of Wellman for (a) continuing to hire him after effectively ending his Coaching dream and (b) not coming clean and telling us what happened. Clawson made him come forward with the press release. However, the players deserve to see the text messages and get the full story. My criticism of Wellman, however, does not mean that I do not acknowledge what is now obvious (thanks to other schools who have been frank) that Elrod betrayed Wake.

3) Wes Miller is Coaching in a small conference. He has the 2nd most wins of any 34 year old (or younger) alive. He also has tied for the Northern Division of the Southern Conference and, now that there are no divisions, has also tied for the regular season title in a different season. He is a son of WF. I am very happy for him. I remain confident that he will be one of the best Coaches of his generation (he is already 2nd). I am disappointed Wellman blocked him at WF as both a player and now a Coach. Ernie Nestor gave him a job (wise move). We will see what happens but I am very clearly out there in my position that we are missing a once in a generation potential star at WF. By that I mean we certainly could get another chance at a 30 something year old prodigy--but not one who will stay if he wins. That's the thing--Miller grew up loving Wake and he could be here 40 years. That doesn't come along every day. We are missing our chance because he "doesn't deserve it yet." I can tell you what happens when he "deserves" it--Kansas or UNC will come calling. We are missing our window.

Are you asking when the last time a Southern Conference team produced a lottery pick? I think we all know the answer to that. And we screwed that one up as well.

4) As for DM, let me again be clear, I have no problem with him. We have too short a window of time to evaluate him. I think Clawson and DM are doing just fine. They've certainly improved the product and I love Clawson's zeal and work ethic. However, Wellman has proven to be a failure when it comes to making decisions about our basketball team, which is the most important thing to me. We do not need him making a decision about whether to fire or retain anybody anymore. We also do not need him involved in a stadium restoration that will haunt us for another 30 years. That is my point. He has to go and he has to go now. 21 years of failure is unacceptable. We have had the Senior Year of one of the top 10 NBA players of all time. We have had 2 years of one of the top 15 point guards of all time and we have 1 Sweet 16 and 0 ACC championship games to show for it. Unacceptable. Two decades of failure is enough. Wellman must go.

There isn't. Do you people really only do one thing in your businesses life? Like you go to work every day and come home and don't own 10 or 15 other businesses? What is wrong with you people?

And wfu22fan hasn't had more than a single beer in a day for a decade now.

I've basically liked everyone to at least some degree that I've met from the boards. Wake is a great place that's got a lot of good people. E-hug.

What does that even mean? How is it a bad thing for Wellman to give Elrod a job (aside from the fact that Elrod betrayed WFU but no one could see that would happen)?

I am talking about the radio job. There were people who actually saw it happening and questioned it. Elrod was very critical of Wake in the last few years socially. I had two Wake people ask me about it. Wellman, of course, didn't notice since he walks around and has very little interaction with anyone.

It is very similar to where I am at right now. I do not like Wellman. I want him removed. The AD should not call me and ask for anything as they have before. I won't help. I think Wellman is bad for Wake and I am not going to be part of his team anymore as I want what I believe to be in Wake's interest. Admittedly the difference between me and Elrod is that I would tell him that rather than stab him in the back.

But that doesn't change the fact that Wellman would be an idiot not to know I want him out at this point--just as he was with Elrod--who very clearly was on Grobe's side to all paying attention and not the current staff at Wake.

No said he drinks beer.

Elrod apparently didn't understand that as a football coach, you get fired (or not rehired) routinely. It is just part of the profession. It is way outside the norm for a coach to have a career at a single school.

If the head coach who hires you gets fired, you probaly get fired. If you don't do a good enough job, you get fired. If the head coach who hired you moves, you get fired. If you move with him good for you. If you get an opportunity, you move and get promoted to a position higher on the coaching pecking order. Again, good for you. But is extremely rare that happens all at one school. I don't know what went on in Elrod's head, but Wake was more than fair with him. They took care of him after the personal tragedy with his son, and made a position for him after Wake and Grobe parted ways. What more did he want? Barry Faircloth's job as assistant AD for football for life?

Guttenberg's movable print was nothing in magnitude of importance in comparison to the game tomorrow night.

I think that is exactly what he wanted. And if Clawson failed, I think he thought he had a chance at that. But I don't know for sure since Wellman won't release the report.

I spend quite a bit of time with him. He has a single beer on a rare occasion. I actually enjoy making fun of him about it. And I also get to enjoy the sober ride back to my beach place from him from time to time.
