A little History for those collected here

There were some good times. I remember Deachead (i think) who was one of the very early creators/moderators of Wake sports forums. I think he still posts, but rarely. Also, Kent deserves a great big thank you from all, allowing and encouraging his Rancho da Nada to become the Wake sports forum.

i do see his name occasionally, but he doesn't post nearly as much as he used to.

I've been posting much more than I used to. I recognize a bunch of those names listed as old posters. I had to change names during the migration. My old board name didn't meet all the criteria for the server/software system used here.
 
ManhattanHeel shows up in my Facebook feed from time to time. Was actually at a party with her recently. Did not interact.

Tibor and Bandwagon Boy were both done by Dan87. I have a Tibor rant on a hard drive, somewhere...and yes, the Buffy, the vampire killer threads were inspired by Blucas. The best moment in the then history of these internets was when Tibor started posting on some site devoted to Buffy (Boofy in a bow to Tibor). The teenage girls who apparently infested that place couldn't figure out what was going on. "What the fuck is a Daemon Diken?"
 
Tibor was always an entertaining read. I was slightly saddened when I realized all that stuff was somebody's fantasy.

I wondered at the time if that was 94. 94 is a real interesting guy, BTW. I offered to buy 94 and DR a few rounds of beer at the Seattle Bowl to make peace, but it didn't work out

For whatever reason, and it was probably [Redacted] and Twitter snarky culture, but things changed a little bit before we migrated over here. The boards are not nearly as friendly.
