This Democratic response is pretty hokey. They are making Trump look more presidential. I know they are trying to appeal to the working class center states but this guy sounds like a hayseed.

He said "I'm a proud Democrat, but more importantly, I'm a proud republican...and democrat...and an American."
 
He sounds like Uncle Jesse from the Dukes of Hazzard but not as wise or eloquent. And the Duke farm kitchen would be a better setting than this "diner." What a charade.

It was a complete punt and a cowardly move by the Dems
 
They just got beat by a guy who once shaved Vince McMahons head on national TV. I would expect it to take them awhile to recover. The current plan is outrage everywhere and that's all they got.
 
Trump needs to ride this momentum by deleting his twitter account

I may have had some fun with the Hillary shills on this board who are super thin skinned. The liberals have been a blast to needle since November.

My wife and I decided to throw our votes away on the Libertarian presidential ticket and then vote our conscience regardless of party on everything else, federal, state and local. I could not in good conscience vote for Hillary or Trump.

Trump did a great job last night. Give credit where it is due.

I have no faith he can sustain it. He is who we think he is.

+1, but the bar is set pretty low. At least OJ didn't kill anyone today isn't that great of a compliment.

Basically it was all his shitty "policy" points with a new glossy gold finish to them. Sounds better on the surface but same crap he has been saying since before the election.
 
He gets a lot of credit from the media for not just going totally off the rails. NPR actually had a former Breitbart correspondent on this morning and I expected him to defend Bannon (has worked with him a lot previously) but instead he just said the media was coddling Donald and that there's one standard for Donald as president (just appear presidential and not be crazy and get praised) and everyone else who has ever been president. Said he wasn't impressed by anything that happened last night and the media shouldn't either.

I was certainly surprised to hear that given the source.
