Bracketology 2017

VCU fighting back. Down 5 with 10 minutes to go.

Thinking more and more this game could be a major determination of whether or not we end up in Dayton.

Earned their way in by playing in a crappy conference? Meh. Finishing 10th in the ACC is more impressive than winning the SWAC.

And at-large teams didn't? Silly argument.

Auto-bids are an eccentricity of the system.

Stupid poors need to buy a better conference.

This is why Trump won.

Let's assume URI is out with a loss - what do you think the back up plan is at this moment? You know there is a plan - who do they knock out?

Both USC's blow.

I'd also love a shot at VCU, watching them now, not real impressed. Just running around wreaking havoc and no shooting.

I'm going to tell myself this up to the announcement. Nothing that happened today changes the field. It was set. Only a few seeding alterations like smu-cincy

What does VCU's resume look like? Metrics are probably good but they look like hot garbage and didn't the benefit from some improbable wins this year? Like the technical from the students storming the court? Maybe the basketball gods keep them out with RI in.

Eh, not likely.

I mean, if URI was in, they were probably in Dayton so that certainly changed.

I would imagine the committee has scenarios for every possible outcome on Selection Sunday.

Well that is not true as anyone who had Rhode Island already in the field certainly would have had them in Dayton. Now a team that was free of Dayton is getting sent back to the play in game.

Right. I said seeding.

The play-in game is part of the field.....
