What is the greatest invention in the history of mankind?

Alcohol, beer led to agriculture, civilization. Then came Baptists who invented bourbon

Then came tobacco, cigarettes, which led to ACC basketball

What about shelter ? Did man invent that ?

I already said houses. That is the #2 invention behind fire (if we're being honest about the actual greatest inventions and not just our favorite inventions).

Yeah, but we invented more rudimentary forms of shelter first, like caves.
Men will take all the credit for shelter and caves but it was actually God who invented these things. Once Adam and eve and lillith and Steve were naked and full up on apples they needed somewhere to hang.

Carnal knowledge precluded architectural knowledge, historically. Just ask thereff.

We did live in caves for a long time, probably hundreds and hundreds of years, and that wasn't an invention because the caves were already there, but the first dude or chick who was like, "you know what, I'm tired of living in this goddamn cave" and then went out and cut down some trees and palm fronds and built a house -- that was the invention. Second greatest invention of all-time after fire. Because we could have just kept on living in caves and been okay, but if we didn't have fire we could only eat raw meat.

True story I considered briefly being a cave historian but instead became a book historian when I discovered the biblical truth about the incestuous sex times in Lot's cave.

have you considered studying the history of books about caves
