2017 Masters Thread

Terrific back nine. Sergio earned it at last. What a comeback.
 
Where is all this Sergio love coming from? I mean, I don't hate him like I used to because he has finally grown up a bit and isn't the petulant brat that he used to be. But at the same time, I don't actively root for him.

For me, it's as simple as liking to see guys win a major when that has been the biggest criticism of them over otherwise successful careers.

Sergio has been very good for a long time, but he doesn't seem to get a lot of recognition given the lack of a major win. Westwood would be another example of a guy that I'd root for. Montgomerie, on the other hand, is a guy that I enjoyed seeing come up short again and again.
 
Sergio has grown up a lot over the years. He was insufferable in the past. He seems to have mellowed out into a good guy and a top flight golfer. He's not the top of my rooting list but I was happy to see him win.
 
MY Boy Sergio! Been pulling for him forever. Knew he would do it this time! Big fan especially after we talked that day that Rory hit on my wife at the QH tournament. Sergio! Masters! Green Jackets!

My wife has walked* 18 with Sergio at Quail twice. She said he was about as nice a guy as anyone she's met there.

Yeah, he was my 80 point pick. He and Rahm look like they're destined to win a few majors and torment us in the Ryder Cup. And if you're a short to average hitter, how are you going to compete with Rahm, Pieters, Rory and Day when those guys are at the top of their games?

Glad to see him finally break through! He has played great and grown up now! Has a lot of game.
