CBM: X-Men '97; Deadpool and Wolverine trailer; The Boys returns June 13

Basically Friday night is geek night on ABC.

OUAT will launch at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the debut of new super series Marvel’s Inhumans, which will run for eight episodes. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will then launch later in the fall, possibly midseason. Both Once and S.H.I.E.L.D. will still have 22 episode seasons.
“We’ve turned Friday into more of a destination for our fantasy and science fiction fans,” ABC Chief Channing Dungey told reporters Tuesday morning. “Once Upon a Time and S.H.I.E.L.D. are airing on the same night for the first time, which is giving many fans of both shows what they’ve been asking for for a long time.”

Eh. Once Upon a Time was good once upon a time but I quit watching after the something with the author of the story book. I don't even remember.

Gotta give Flash props.

Another strong AOS season finale. They resolved all the plot lines in satisfying fashion. Curious if the next season will be about the Inhumans or a precursor to SWORD. Who knows. The show is in good shape though. Sucks it will be on Fridays.

I really enjoyed the AOS finale. Ghost Rider has always been one of my favorite heroes so it was great seeming him come back and be a badass. The scene with Mack and his daughter made me a little misty eyed. I'd bet the story will be Inhuman related since the TV show is coming out but I would love to see SWORD.

I'd REALLY like them to do an AIM storyline instead of it always being Hydra.

This link thinks they're in Prison 42.

What is this space prison? No, it's not the Phantom Zone. That's DC comics. After briefly perusing some Marvel prisons online, I'd guess that this is Prison 42, also known as Project 42, Wonderland, or Fantasy Island.

Since the show won't return until midseason, it's going to be a while before we find out why Coulson and potentially the other agents are in space, and who took them. I'd love to know who else has it out for our heroes, why, and what kind of work they're making prisoners do in the middle of an asteroid belt.

The upside to that is that a lot's going to happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe between now and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 5. By the time the show returns, we'll have all seen Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Defenders on Netflix, The Inhumans on ABC, and likely Thor: Ragnarok as well. If it's directly connected to any of these things, I would guess it's something to do with Asgard or the Kree — just because they're already extraterrestrial. Hopefully the connected universe can offer some hints and theories about this new chapter on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

2 movies, 18 episodes between seasons of AOS. Marvel is busy.

Extensive Justice League reshoots.

Speaking on a condition of anonymity, they said that in the 17 months between the start of principal photography and the final cut arriving in theaters in November that the film will have essentially been “remade…twice.”
They refused to offer any further details, but they said that Warner Bros. is really putting everything it has into overhauling the movie. Apparently, they didn’t like what they were seeing and so the film has had a lot of work put into trying to make it better while on its way towards its November 2017 release.

With the recent news that King Arthur was set to be a colossal bomb for Warner Bros, and with projections for Wonder Woman making it look like it’ll open $20 million less than Marvel’s Doctor Strange (who has nowhere near the kind of household recognition or importance of DC’s iconic heroine) in its opening frame, you really can’t blame the studio for being nervous.

When a film about a relatively little-known character like Deadpool makes its studio 3x as much profit as the loaded Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice did (Fox made $322 net profit on the movie), you know its time to start reevaluating how you’re doing things. Let’s hope Warner Bros. is taking its time and creating a Justice League movie we’ll never forget.

Wonder Woman better be good. I'm actually starting to get excited about it.

I'm done gambling on DC. I'm going to need someone I trust to personally recommend one before I waste another $25 at the theater.

I still haven't seen BVS or SS. I really want Wonder Woman to be good because Wonder Woman deserves to have a good movie. They're marketing that Wonder Woman is a woman. They're not running away from it. I'm not sure if they're marketing it to women. This is a good climate for an unapologetic strong female warrior lead.

Little girls are going to be dressing up as superheroes once they're marketed to appropriately. Will they be Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Wasp, Batgirl? Who?

Suicide Squad makes BvS look like Citizen Kane. I agree that WW deserves a good movie, but I have a feeling if you saw these other 2 movies you would have VERY low expectations.

Except they are not doing much marketing -- which is a bad sign. I expect it to join the list of bad DC movies. Had to stop watching SS it was so bad -- BVS was Citizen Kane next to it.

I honestly did not see Wolverines' post before I posted this. Weird.

It's been awhile since I've sat through a shitty movie. I'm thinking about watching them before WW though.

[insert TAB: "You sit through shitty CW shows and AOS every week."]

You should watch SS if for no other reason than to see how offensively bad it is.

I've never been more psyched for an Arrow episode, or any comic book show really, like I am for the finale. The last scene of last night's ep would have been much more impactful if they hadn't promoted that character's return though.

More shifting TV slots...Arrow is moving to Legends old slot on Thursdays at 8. Supergirl, Flash, and Legends are all staying in their current slots.

It sounds like CW is putting high expectations on a new show called Valor along with Riverdale on Wednesday.

We seeing the first signs of networks getting comic fatigue?
