Literally anyone with any connection to Ayo: "Hey Steve, manager of the Chicago Jordan Brand Store, we'd like for one of the best college players in the city and country to announce his college decision at your store, is that OK? It will be at 7 CST on Thursday, 10/19. Should bring you some good publicity."

Steve: "Awesome, sounds great - what do you need?"

Literally anyone with any connection to Ayo: "A table, some chairs, maybe some balloons should do the trick."

Those radio guys mentioned the hat trick that was pulled with Illinois before and that it would be childs play if Danny Manning showed up to the signing and Ayo committed to Wake. Remember that twin engine jet that left for Chicago this morning from Smith Reynolds? LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Good luck to the kid either way but if I were him I would be having so much fun with both fanbases on this. Would love for the kid to come to Wake and round out this awesome class.

Coach Manning ain't spending 2 days in Chicago during preseason practice. If he was to show up, it would be a flight out late tomorrow afternoon.

I get that lol doesn’t answer why though. Does he attend games frequently and come to interview players and coaches in person or just write about the team for a Chicago paper?

Aaaaaand now they're counting Deron Williams as a current NBA player - umm might want to go check the rosters. They seem like a pretty fun, harmless bunch overall, but some of the stupidity is pretty tough to grasp.

Just two hours ago Manning was at a podium at the Joel presiding over Wake's MBB media day. This scenario is likely kaput.

In the age of the telephone and the interwebs there are very high odds he is in frequent contact with a wide range of people associated with the athletic department of the University so that he can write about the team for a Chicago paper. And it is also likely that he from time to time is in C-U. For all I know he actually lives in C-U and communicates by interwebs and telephone with the Chicago paper. Either way I think you can presume he knows people associated with the athletic department of the University. And, to be clear, it is one of two widely circulated Chicago newspapers and not just any Chicago paper.
 
Something tells me the recruit fully understands the score card of which school has done what relative to getting players to the NBA. We will be able to speculate soon enough how that information may have influenced his decision, if at all. He probably also knows the track record of the actual coaches involved in his recruitment as that seems to matter more than whether Tim Duncan and Ron Harper once played in the NBA.

Again, I understand all these things and I know telephones exist. I’m merely asking if he attends games and other things in person in C-U because of the long commute if he is from Chicago. For example, Les at the 247/Scout site is at nearly every single sporting event and has interviews after every game. I’m merely asking if he commutes that far to go to games - no need to get all up tight about it.

Yeah, but what if he's doing a head fake of the head fake. Or maybe its a head fake of a head fake of a head fake - which I think would be bad for Wake. I mean, who knows besides Ayo himself?
