Absolutely love these type of posts. When it's Giles it's "Stay home for the hometown, build a program!". When it's someone from elsewhere it's spread your wings etc. Good grief, the hypocrisy is endless.

I’m definitely going to watch the live stream announcement tonight, and 90% expecting (assuming there’s a hat pick) for Ayo to first go for the Wake hat and then go to the Illinois hat. Will be a fun time.
 
Is there any defining characteristic of the University of Illinois (or this state of Illinois in general) that is mascot worthy that isn't 1) already taken by a more prominent school 2) racist as shit or 3) a good mascot ?

I'm guessing there's not.

Wake fans aren't going to lose their shit if Ayo decides to stay closer to home. Wake already has a consensus Top 30 player committed them in this class.

Change the mascot to the Fighting Ayos. That's probably as good a decision as hiring Chin just to get a single recruit.

I know we're largely a self-loathing lot, but "Deaced" doesn't even seem like a Wake Forest fan !
 
Illini are all a bunch of downstate and north side donks who cheer for the Cubs and Mike Ditka and think Portillos is really awesome
