Official 2018 NBA Offseason Thread: the preseason cometh

Somebody should knock Beverly the fuck out. He is the dirtiest player in the NBA by a wide margin. Besides the BS foul on Ball early in the game, Beverly tried that cheap ass shit attacking a guy who is calling a TO like he did when injured Westbrook in the playoffs.

I wish they could bring back Oak or Mahorn or someone to take Beverly's punkass out.

LOL

Beverly is Oak and Mahorn

Absolutely not. They would hit you, but they wouldn't take cheap shots to injure other players. They would shove you, push you, elbow you, hip you, but I never saw either one of them go after an opponent's knee.

What am I thinking? You know everything about everything. Why would I ever question you?

The Undefeated updated their version of the Top 50 NBA players of all time. They added players who played after the mid-90s.

Neither Reggie Miller nor Ray Allen have any business on this list. They were totally one dimensional players. Kidd and Nash were great players but borderline. Pierce didn't deserve to be in the Top 50.

Tiny was better than either Nash or Kidd. And leaving off Pistol is a total joke, he much, much superior to those guys. Both Clyde Drexler and Dave Debusschere are both better than Pierce. Lots of you never saw DeBusschere play. His ppg would have been higher with the three point line. It would have been very close with Pierce if he had that option. DuBusschere also averaged over 11 rpg and was All Defense for 6 seasons.

lakers and illinois are definitely my hate-watch/hate-follow teams this season. i hope lonzo has a miserable rookie campaign.

Lonzo has always seemed like a good kid, but his dad is screwing him now.

I get that I (we) am biased but not having CP3 on that list is LOL dumb, especially with Nash, Curry and Iverson on the list.

CP3 is better than Iverson, and it's really not even close.

I didn't realize anybody didn't think CP was easily an all time great PG.

I think when comparing individual players some people forget that basketball is a sport with 5 players where your team only has the ball half of the time.

In a 1v1 tournament I would take prime iverson over prime Chris, Steph, then Nash, but thankfully basketball is more than that.

pre knee injury cp3 is the only one of those that had a chance at staying in front of iverson.

I didn't realize anybody didn't think CP was easily an all time great PG.

People soured on him following the OKC/Houston series in back to back years and his increasingly irritable on-court personality, which I get, but some of the takes I've seen in the past year are just nonsense. In April (or thereabouts) Simmons had him 7th on the list of all time PGs.

The lack of playoff success argument is compelling but that's keeping him from being a top 10-20 player all time, not top 50. Statistically he's top 10. From there it's simply a matter of how much you value Rings.
