We all understand your point. Some are just concerned they made the choice for him.

Feel bad for Ayo if he truly wanted to come to WF but parents guilted him into Ill. Guess they don't adhere to the rule if you love them then you will set them free!!! As others pointed out it is just one year and then away Ayo goes. Hoping THT blows everything up!
 
May hear Ayo's name in an NIT broadcast, other than that looking forward to never hearing about him again.
 
I think we need to take this moment to give thanks to Olivier Sarr, Chaundee Brown, Melo Eggleston, Jaylen Hoard, Isaiah Mucius and Sharone Wright for acting like grown ass men by just simply committing to the Deacs instead of putting on a Broadway production. This goes for the hundreds of recruits before them that decided they would also be grown ass men about it and just commit.

Almost forgot Sunday Okeke. He's a BAMF too.

FYI Underwood has never missed a tournament. Here is to hoping Wake makes a return trip to Champaign in 2018 for another beatdown!

1- Are you a fan of Underwood or are you a fan of Illinois? Kind of weird/desperate to puff your chest out about a coach's accomplishments at other schools. "Danny Manning won Conference USA!!!"
2- Also pathetic to point to a regular season game from 13 years ago. We'll see you in about a month... Looking forward to discussing your dumpster fire of a basketball team after that game.

I don't know if I'd be jazzed or weirded out if a parent of a new recruit made a statement like that.
 
It's strange/admirable(?) that Ayo is likely only staying 1-2 years but the family is intent on making Illinois a TOP TIER DESTINATION for in-state/Chicago kids.
 
And they decided this well after many prospects turned down Illinois. And they seem to be pitching a fit about one of the remaining Chicago prospects going there.

I think it's just that they want to make it seem that way because they wanted Ayo to stay close to home so they could maintain a sense of control. Will be interesting to see how much they are promoting Illinois when Ayo goes pro since, you know, they're in it for the in-state kids.
